I admire the people who work or volunteer here. They helped me ɓy donating my apt. Rent deposit so I could move into an apartment building that housed mostly veterans. If I'm short on funds and need groceries I can count on a hefty box ón Wednesdays. I might have to volunteer my time since ì respect the people so much.

I walked into the VetFam office to get help with my initial deposit on my new apartment, and even though they were at the end of their grant year and about to go through their yearly audit and all the work that goes with that.. they were able to get me my deposit and into my new apartment, within 2 weeks.. that alone would give them five stars.. it's what they did after I moved in that I wish I could give them a 10.. they checked on me to make sure my basic needs were met and I was comfortable at my new place.. I don't really possess the vocabulary to adequately express my gratitude so I'll just say to Evon, Maria, and Richard...THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS..

Im very disappointed with them. Still waiting for a call back for 2 weeks. I left messages and they haven't call me back. I see lots of positive reviews i must have bad luck.. Im calling the one in Modesto.

Catholic charities serves the central Stockton community and helps anybody that needs assistance with groceries, and baby food items. They only give out 30 tickets a day. You do need a ticket to receive your food donation. Tuesday its pick up ur ticket at noon then pick up ur groceries at 1pm please bring ur I.d. for yourself and any dependants proof of income and proof of address if u have one. On Thursdays its pick up ur ticket at 8 am then come back at 9 am to pick up the groceries . you can only go one time a month. They also give out holiday boxes you have to sign up for that help out during hard times. I hope this information helps someone out.

Food bags are very small. The only give out 30 tickets for bags. Then they tell you to come back in hour. Don't understand why they don't just give the bags out. Takes about 2 hour for a food bag that really don't have anything in it to make just one meal.
