I take my kids to their Fall festival every year on Halloween. It's free! The games are fun! They have live music! There is food available for purchase, so we always have dinner there: hot dogs, hamburgers, hot links... They also offer face painting and a photo area! Good family-friendly fun! Parking on street fills up quickly, but there is a shuttle that will take you from the metro ride-share lot to the church!! Super convenient!

This is a very loving church... When the people who go follow their "codes of conduct". What happened to the church that invited the hippies during the Jesus movement? The pastors tells breathtaking messages to be believers, but even going on days that weren't Sunday you would be able to look back on your old notebook and see the same message told more than once. The Bible teaches law and love, but it seems all this Church focuses on is what Paul says Jesus told him and the book of Revelation.

Beautiful church for new believers, but if you truly want to learn more, go to a Bible college and read the Bible for yourself. God will reveal things that surprise you.

What a sweet congregation. I was welcomed at the door by Manny, Patty May, and Pastor Angel. The worship was heartfelt. Pastor Richard had such a humble yet powerfully insightful way of teaching. Thank you Richard and Toni for praying for me. I definitely appreciated my visit before heading back home to Texas.

The joy of the Lord is my strength 🙌🏾 Bible Study was so on point. So thankful to have found a home church at Calvary Chapel Monrovia. The Holy Spirit is always speaking to me through the pastor and my brothers and sisters in Christ. I feel the love of God flowing and am excited to help serve and grow there.

Shame on these peeps at this church. A needy person was destitute on their staircase, and they just ignored him. They didn't even try to pray or put him in a safe zone. They abandoned him on the sidewalk! 911 was called in by a stranger! They did not have the decency at this church to even do that for this person. The staff there just turned their shoulder. Very un-Christian like Calvary Chapel. Do unto others as you would do unto yourself. Golden rule.

On our 2nd visit, we were humiliated by an usher mid-service for choosing to have our 2 year old son sit with us - a child who was behaving himself, sitting and playing in his seat.
My wife crying and myself angry from a volunteer making a very poor decision to address a situation in the way he did we chose to leave in the moment.
We met with pastor Steve Martinez and our eyes were opened to just how unwelcoming of a place this is.
He shamed us. He blamed us. Taking zero responsibility for the actions of the volunteer instead told us “God is testing you”. Sorry Steve, God opened my eyes of your lack of Love and Grace to people you’ve never met.

If you have children, this is not a church welcoming of families with young children.

We were looking for a Christ centered, bible base preaching church and we found one!!
God is good and He is good all the time. The steps of a righteous man are ordered by God. There's no mistake that God brought us in this church because we are the church, the body of Christ.
Christ is being worshiped in Spirit and in Truth. Let us all come together to hear the word of God and be transformed!! The bible said that Man does not live on bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. And that the Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us... that Word is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! Thank you Pastor for preaching the Word of God. For giving us meat of the Word!

I have been praying and looking for a church to call home. I have now been here 2x and I feel the presence of the Lord and the love the church has for God. It has not subjected itself to the modern day church or lost its way of true Gospel teaching. I will make this my home.
