Went to Brother Bryan about 3 years ago took a pass to go to my nephew's wedding in Tennessee, came back to the mission, took a drug test and it was faulty said I tested positive for fentanyl, never seen fentanyl. Was put out immediately I offered to pay for a more advanced test, the director said they had to stand by their faulty test. Intern's getting residents to pay them to keep name off the chore list. Been sober for 4 and a half years have worked steady for 5 years now have an apartment. Life is good. Beware hypocrites at Brother Bryan, total bad experience .

Such a welcoming place. Definitely a God sent to my family. I would highly recommend to anyone with any sort of addiction issue who is seeking long term treatment

This is my favorite shelter and mission in Birmingham to donate my time, money, and items to. They are smaller but I think they are the best. Because they are not as large, it seems they are able to give more direct help and are able to work more closely with them. It's not one-on-one, but it does seem like a lot more of an intimate setting. Also, the people going there seem to do better in being successful and getting their life straightened out than at the others I have been to in the city, which is pretty much all of them I believe. It is a faith based mission/ministry/program, which I believe is highly important because out of everything these men need, hope, faith, and something true, positive, and attainable is the most important. They need to know that can achieve an eternal life that is far superior to their earthly lives all on their own and that it requires only what they are already capable of in their hearts. I believe brother Bryan does a great job with these men and please donate time, money, goods, or services to them if you can. They really take the time and effort to truly help these men and work with them to change their lives for the better. Brother Brian is definitely a worthy cause and is In my opinion probably the best one

I took clothing and can goods down to this place. They came out to the car and received all that I brought to them with great love and gratitude. They were so receptive of what I had done. I will always take things there that I want others to have as this is mission work. We know where we have been, but we don't know how we may end up.

Used phenobarbital to treat a patient in detox, then kicked that patient out for failing a drug screen for that very drug. Incredibly unprofessional and inconsiderate. Maybe they should actually consider everyone is different and sometimes certain medications take a bit longer to leave some people's systems. Do not go here if you need a stable environment.

Very Best mission in the state. The staff are very helpful and want to see guys get their lives on the right track. I actually stay here as a client as we are called. I had catastrophic brain surgery in 2017 to remove a benign softball size tumor from my brain and had nowhere to go after being released from the hospital at UAB. God saved my life from that tumor. If not for Brother Bryan Mission I would have been under a bridge somewhere. Thank God for saving my life and 4 this mission to help get me back on my feet. To whom much is given, much is required.

Didn't let me in their program because I am a veteran who happens to have PTSD.
