They have some great events you can go to. I enjoyed watching Rocky Horror Picture Show here. The refreshments (popcorn and soft drinks) are pretty good and affordable. The tickets are a bit expensive for VHS movie nights, though. The theatre is a bit outdated with no cup holders and not too comfortable seating. While I respect its vintage vibe, it's just not my cup of tea. I think this is a great place that keeps theater culture in Mount Pleasant.

Update: A winter jubilee on Saturday December 4th @4:30.

Update: Rocky Horror Picture Show 28th, 29th, & 30th @ 8pm & midnight. This theater house is interesting. According to my pamphlet it opened in 1919. So it's over 100 years old. My friend a Mount Pleasant native, she said she came here as a teen when it was a cimena. The paintings of a man and woman near the front was there when she was a teen. Which would of been in the 80s. Those are original. It's the colors of the paint that surprise me. As i don't think they make paint like that anymore. The balcony is closed. Inside is really small and the seating is old fashion. A bit of a tight squeeze. Bathrooms are downstairs. I did enjoy the play, The Lil Shop of Horrors. The attendants were kind. There are snacks and drinks one may purchase before the shows. Since there was limited light inside i could not take any pictures prior to the play. I discovered i could buy tickets to some shows at Rics Food Center on Mission street. However you also buy tickets the day of the show.

I absolutely LOVE the Broadway Theater! I love that they offer VHS Night for the love of tapes and classic horror flicks! The plays are ALWAYS stunning, and just being inside this place brings back so much nostalgia. Thanks, Broadway, for all you guys do to offer an alternative night out!

The only way I’d consider coming back is if they start having no kids allowed drag! I believe drag is adult only entertainment, that’s my opinion and I’m entitled to it! Drag shows here are very born and lame cause of kids being allowed!
