If I were asked to describe this place in simple words, what comes to mind are LOVING, accepting, growth, dependable, organized, knowledgeable, therapeutic, family, acceptance, genuine, role-model, kind hearted, judgement-free, safe, guidance, fun etc.
I am honored to share this wonderful place that was founded by two of the most remarkable women that are so extraordinary and exceptional that When facing a tough decision thru the week, One of the questions I will ask myself is how Sue or Angela would handle the situation if they’re were in my shoes.
I was introduced to B.R.A.I.N. A couple years ago. They offer support, a variety of resources, counseling , socializing, speech, therapy and so much more to TBI survivors and their families or caretakers. I look forward to Tuesdays because I know that no matter what I have going on in my life, whether it be a regular calm week or maybe I’m struggling facing difficulties and am stressed; my Tuesday night B.R.A.I.N. Family” will be there with open arms bringing me back to home base. I’m never alone, always accepted and always welcomed. It’s refreshing to know that I’m encouraged to be 100% the real me, completely present, without having to put on a Façade. I am always accepted with no need to put on a fake representation of myself. When I leave the meeting, It never fails, I walk away feeling refreshed, I feel better about myself, More confident, I feel
Heard and that my opinion and presence is
Valued. Being surrounded by such positive, strong, caring and loving people is food to my soul and fills my heart!
