Wonderful place to volunteer at. They truly care about the residents living here and in their day programs. I volunteered her for over a year. The residents were always nicely dressed. Although sometimes some of the residents were aggressive in some of their behaviors, the staff always handled it well, and kept everyone safe. Their food for dinners always smelled and looked so good, better than my food lol.

The residents were tasked to learn many socialization skill, and participated in structured games, and activities throughout day. I was involved in helping them to stay knowledgeable and on task in community service activities with other organization such as central triad church, sunny side recreation, ymca, and Habitat for humanity. If your looking for people who will work with individuals that have disabilities or mental illnesses and want people who won’t give up on them and treat them like they matter then this is the place for them.
