I wasn’t even involved in this situation until it had already gone on for almost two weeks. And I’m still fuming.

My mom, who’s 71, went into this pawn shop and bought a necklace and a bracelet. She paid with her card—no funny business, no haggling, just a regular customer spending nearly a grand. She’s been going there for years.

She came back a few weeks later just to exchange the bracelet because it didn’t fit right. That’s when they basically turned on her.

They said they had no record of the sale. Instead of saying, “Hey, let’s figure this out,” they immediately went into accusation mode. They told her she must’ve stolen the necklace. They started calling her nonstop, threatening to call the police, and made her feel like she was some kind of criminal.

Let me be clear: this is a 71-year-old woman who paid in full, with a card, and walked out like every other customer. And now she’s being accused of theft? Why? Because she didn’t still have the receipt? Because she didn’t know how to find the transaction on her banking app?

This wasn’t some misunderstanding. This was harassment. They scared her. She lost sleep. She made multiple trips to the bank. She cried. She was embarrassed. And they didn’t care.

Worse—when I got involved and checked with the police, I found out they had already filed a report against her, even though they were still calling her like she had time to “make things right.” They lied to her. Manipulated her. Intimidated her.

Eventually, my brother helped her dig up the bank transaction and clear her name. But let me tell you—this should never have happened. She shouldn’t have been treated this way. They never apologized. Never admitted they were wrong. Just moved on like they didn’t nearly destroy someone’s sense of peace.

And by the way—if she paid with a card, how the hell was there no record of it? Feels like something shady was going on internally, and they were trying to cover it up by putting the blame on her.

Look, we all know pawn shops already have a certain reputation. But this was something else. This was heartless. Cold. Inexcusable.

So if you’ve got a mom, a dad, a grandparent—someone who might not be able to defend themselves if put in that position—do them a favor and steer clear of this place.

My mother-in-law is 71. She’s kind, thoughtful, and the kind of person who supports local businesses out of principle. She’s also been a loyal customer at this pawn shop for years.

So imagine our shock when she went in to exchange a bracelet she bought—and instead of being helped, she was accused of stealing a necklace she purchased during the same transaction.

They said they had no record of her sale. Instead of asking questions or trying to understand the situation, they immediately jumped to threats. They called her repeatedly. They told her the police would get involved. And they made her feel like a criminal.

And she was heartbroken. She genuinely couldn’t believe what was happening. She didn’t have her receipt, and she didn’t know how to pull up the bank record herself. And instead of helping her, they piled on the pressure.

The truth? She bought that necklace and bracelet honestly. She paid with her card. There should have been a record on their end—but there wasn’t. That’s not her fault.

Even after the transaction was eventually found and everything was cleared up—no apology. No acknowledgment. Just silence.

I don’t know what kind of business treats a senior citizen this way—especially one who’s supported them for years. But it says a lot.

If you care about your loved ones—especially elderly family members—I’d think twice before sending them here.

Apparently, you need to keep your receipts for LIFE—not just weeks or months.

I’m 71 years old. I’ve shopped at this pawn shop for years, spent good money there, and trusted them. But after what I just went through, I will never step foot in there again—and I hope no one else does either.

A few months ago, I bought a necklace and a bracelet, paying nearly $1,000 in full, with my card. A few weeks later, I returned to the store hoping to exchange the bracelet because it didn’t fit well.

To my shock, the manager said they had no record of my purchase. Not in the system. Nothing. They demanded a receipt, which I no longer had. I tried to explain that I’m not very familiar with banking apps, and I genuinely didn’t know how to find the transaction right away.

Instead of helping or showing any understanding, they accused me of stealing the necklace. They claimed if I didn’t return it, they’d call the police.

And then they started harassing me—calling constantly, intimidating me, and making me feel like a criminal. All over a necklace I bought honestly and outright. I was terrified. I lost sleep. I kept thinking, What if they actually arrest me?

What’s even worse is they acted like I still had time to “make it right,” when in reality, they had already filed a police report against me. A detective had been assigned to the case. They lied to my face and kept the pressure on.

What they never considered is this: if I really did steal it, why would I come back to the store? Why would I ask to exchange the bracelet? None of it made sense—and it shouldn’t have to, because I didn’t do anything wrong.

Thankfully, my son got involved and was able to find the transaction buried in one of my accounts. He sent it to the police and cleared everything up. But even then—no apology from the store. Not even an ounce of accountability.

And honestly, I have to ask:
If I paid with my card, why wasn’t there any record in their system?
It makes me wonder if the employee who sold me the items did something shady behind the scenes—because that’s not my responsibility. I paid honestly, and they failed to track the sale. That’s on them.

I want to warn anyone—especially seniors like me—keep your receipts forever. Don’t trust that a business will do the right thing. I learned the hard way that even longtime customers can be accused, harassed, and humiliated without cause.

If you value your peace of mind, stay far away from this place.

Very friendly staff reasonable pricing on guns and other merchandise. They are also willing to work with you on late payments if ever you run into problems and can't make one. If you are ever close I highly recommend stopping in and taking a browse through the store you won't regret it.

This was a blank review with just the star rating review was posted almost 2 years ago this is a response to your post… don’t forget yall wouldn’t give my silver and put a 24 month criminal trespass charge on me which I have respected by and will be there December first to get the silver back or the item I purchased the day all that happened like I said this is an old review I haven’t been on here or said any to ing negative so I will not take this down as I have freedom of expression and did not slander you in anyway .. what are you posting in a 2 year old review that’s not new I mean I have nice stuff I bought at halls shop so idk why your stirring up old stuff maybe my old iPhone wasn’t logged outta google n they edited it but like I said I don’t do anything but respond to this at 7:55 and will be looking forward to having the police get my belongings as even after the thingy is lifted I will not be going

I came in today and was not expecting to hear the offer that I was given on my very expensive equipment - however, the two gentlemen in the front were extremely patient and very helpful, they were willing to discuss different options with me and I ended up leaving with a smile on my face and cash in my pocket!
