While living in Marshall, it washed my laundry at Beacon of Hope laundromat. The thrift store staff is amazing, and the selection of goods is vast. The staff at the HOP Shopping buildings (both online and in person) are easily accessible, with a super friendly and helpful staff. I love these people!

So incredibly thankful for this organization! I desperately needed assistance with certain necessities after the hurricane. Not sure what to do, I was immediately invited me inside, and helped with whatever I needed. I had never been there before, and everyone treated me like family. Highly recommend Beacon, so grateful to everyone there!!! ❤️❤️❤️

The people at Beacon of Hope are fabulous. They live out the meaning of their agency’s name. They are as warm and friendly as anyone we have run into at any food pantry in North Carolina.

When I told them that the standard food box would not work for us because we had no cooking capacity or refrigeration, they customized a box for us.

They are way up on top of a hill, directly across from the Ingles gas station. There’s a fabulous view up there and the best shot I have gotten for doing a review of the Ingles store.

On this hot sunny day, there was a cool breeze stirring and my dog did not want to get back in the hot car.

Jesse was a lot of fun to talk to and a great listener. She says “There you go” in just the way that black people say “Amen” or homeless people say “I hear you, brother”.

She said “It’s important to do this work because you want to and because you have fun doing the it, not to prove that you are a good person.”

Lovely place to shop with a wonderful selection of goods ranging from kitchen wares, outside goodies, clothing, shoes, games and puzzles, jewelry, and so much more. Staff is always smiling and friendly, prices are unbeatable, and plenty of parking available. Drop your stuff off here to give back to the community as well!

Great thrift store! So helpful for the community!

Disappointed because all the reviews were great. We just went to the THRIFT store so I cannot speak for other services they provide. We went (my kids and I) because we love thrift stores. We were not greeted, just stared at. That's fine. We began shopping. First, the place is a mess. They apparently had Easter baskets they prepared and placed on top of the racks. My 8 year old grabbed something out of one, a pack of markers, while I was shopping so I did not see. She asked if she could get them and I said sure. She was very excited about these cool markers! She was then stared down by an employee who then walked over to a rack. Came back to approach my daughter to ask her where she got those markers. I asked my daughter as well and she said up there and pointed to a basket. Employee said those are a part of the basket, you cannot take things from the basket. I said okay, she will put them back. There is no sign to tell us that this is a packed basket. It's also a thrift store, so they could have definitely let me purchase those markers separately. This employee looks at my daughter, rudely points at the basket and says "see, this is why it's in the basket and you can't have them." While gesturing at the basket, embarrassing her. This was said so rude to my daughter that she began to cry and said I'm sorry, I didn't know. I put my stuff down, took the markers from my daughter, threw them in the basket and we walked out.
I am not one to normally think my kids are perfect and all people are being rude to my kids. But this was absolutely uncalled for and she cried all the way until we got home. I will never step back in there and have no idea why we were treated so terribly.
Hope you have a better experience than we did.
