What a great place!

Food is top tier. The cooks take their job seriously. It's delicious and presented well, good quality control. They make their own hotsauce as well, which is so good. Hard for to decide which one I like more.

The seating outside in the back is spacious and nice. The benches are very sturdy. I didn't think that would matter, but I genuinely appreciated not sitting at some worn down wooden tables with uneven surfaces.

I love a restaurant with great outdoor seating! This place has a charming ambience, super creative cocktails, and really tasty food. Their homemade burger was delicious and their dill pickle popcorn is so addictive. I had a slushy drink and a gin cocktail – both of which were drool worthy .

We have eaten here several times for dinner and the occasional random pudding shot!
We just tried their brunch and it was equally as good. Loved the Bloody Mary (carrot juice who knew) and the servers are always kind, friendly and welcoming.
I don’t think this brunch spot will stay quiet for long…

This place might have the best chicken wings I've ever eaten. Service was good, and beer selection was not too shaby. I like that you can order 12oz or 16oz versions of everything on tap. I still haven't ventured into the wine bar, but it looks promising.

Tried something new and totally enjoyed the vibe, food and drink at Backyard Social. Can’t wait to go back so we can sit outside. Not pictured is the Polenta Olive Oil Cake and the Butternut Squash Bread that we had. Everything we tried was amazing.

Nice back yard ambiance.
Enjoyed the complimentary dill popcorn but not my partner bc there's something about it that keeps going up our nostrils ?‍♀️.
We enjoyed the hangar steak done medium rare. The grilled veggie dishes like the broccolini and summer squash were enjoyable too.
The cocktail that i enjoyed was the Old Sway with rye, bitters, and orange peel.

Happy hour food/drinks menu available from 4-6pm on Mon- Sat, and 5-9pm on Sun.

I've been here twice. The first time the drinks were fantastic and the food was great. The second time the drinks were just good but the food was just good as well. Not sure if it was different bartender or what, but I will definitely go back to try again

This place is Stellar on SO MANY LEVELS.

Portland has so much food, so it's easy to get lost on where to go. I first learned of the Backyard Social when I was getting ready to shoot a reception in their back area and I met my people there for drinks + apps. We ended up spending HOURS there. This is the norm for them because it's their favorite neighborhood spot but for me it was new and I'm a fairly busy person so to just lose track of time and thoroughly enjoy every moment spent there is big for me. The first visit, the roasted romaine salad was to DIE FOR along with everything else that made it to my mouth.

Fast forward to the wedding / dinner reception that took place I was again so thrilled with my experience. From a vendor perspective they KILLED it. The food was next level delicious, and the timing was impeccable. All their guests had an amazing 4 or 5 course meal experience that left their taste buds begging for more but with literally no room left in their stomachs. At the end of the night they sent me home with extra food and my friends and I ate and raved into the early morning about it. The vegan/vegetarian options are amazing and i'm neither.

Anyways I had to drop a killer review. I promise to always try to stop in on our trips to Portland. Thanks for a rad experience & even better food + people!
