We recently moved my mother in law to Atria and are happy with the transition. The facility is bright & full of energy. The staff is warm, caring and has made her feel part of a community. She enjoys the dining options. A happy place for this new chapter in her life.

I visited several Senior Living communities before choosing Atria for my mom. Her first years here before Covid were great - the food was good ( always loved to come on Saturday to visit for the ice cream social!) and my mother enjoyed the arts and crafts classes and just being able to sit outside in the lovely gazebo. Quarantine changed things and I have to give credit to Atria for handling the challenge. They were nimble and adaptable and managed to keep their residents and staff safe. The staff are very caring and helpful. I would choose Atria for my mother again.

Don''t just rate the condition of the facilities when choosing a place for your loved one. While the appearance of their facilities seems to merit a four star rating, their staff training, retention, experience, and ratio are quite below adequate. It is hard to blame the staff because the ones that show up try really hard but are consistently over worked, under staffed, under trained, and barely supervised. Even at the director level they hire people with degrees but no experience. While my father was in the memory care unit both the overall director of operations and the memory care director quit. Atria didn't replace them for several months and when new personnel arrived they had no clue how to run the operation and the med techs were basically in charge They lost track of my father one night and thought he had gotten out of the facility when in fact he had wandered out to the patio area and had face planted into the concrete. They didn't find him for over an hour. He also lost teeth and had bruises unaccounted for during his stay. Don't just walk, but run away from this facility if your loved one needs to be in a Memory Care unit. This company is only profit oriented and churns staff to keep costs low. Because they decided to require us to provide 24 hour supervision at our own expense ($30 K/month) we moved him to a different senior care operation in Woodland. There, he got qualified care(without the need for 24 hour supervision) until he passed on nine months later.

I have been living here for a year and a month. The thing I like most about living at atria is the three meals a day that i didn’t shop for or cook or clean u after. This has helped me keep my weight. I’ve also loved my apartment and the extra bonus has been the very spacious balcony and the landscaping around the building is beautifully kept up. I lookout on bird and trees and gardens. I love having neighbors. I love access to the green belt. I love it. I also love the worker bees. They are young, patient, caring and friendly. And they work very hard.

My mother has lived at Atria for the past five months, an extremely difficult time for assisted living facilities, their staffs and their residents. The staff at Atria have been universally kind, cheerful, patient, and extremely attentive to health and safety. And the facility has been maintained beautifully despite all of the challenges of this time.

My father returned to Atria 3/1/2021 after a bout with sepsis. He is 87.5 and had been at home for four years after spending a recovery period at Atria Covell Gardens in 2017. Going back was comfortable because he was familiar with it and enjoyed his prior stay. One great thing about Atria is the ability to rent month-to-month. There isn’t the pressure of a permanent move. He has the option of a rehab/respite stay or a longer stay.

We were lucky to have him move in fully vaccinated (with the other residents). The dining room is open, exercise classes are in session, and the theater is open. He found an old friend and met a nice group of new friends very quickly. Having a rich social life with friends that are all vaccinated is really fabulous. This is so welcome after a year alone due to Covid concerns.

Atria Covell Gardens has done a very good job protecting its residents during Covid. The staff are always wearing K95 masks and are all vaccinated. They are very strict about visits. This works for us. We can visit my father by appointment and we know he is safe.

I think the best part of the move is that my dad is so happy. He is gaining weight (he needed to) and his latest blood panel showed that he is doing better than when I was taking care of him! We are grateful this community is an option for us. He has a first floor garden apartment which allows him to have his little dog.

It is rare for assisted living communities to have garden apartments with patios and this was essential for us. His dog is so important to him.

Leaving home especially during this pandemic is scary. I am particularly cautious and I am grateful Atria Covell Gardens has a safe environment for my father. Even with the restrictions his social life is thriving. I write this with a huge smile and a grateful heart.

My husband and only arrived here at Atria aboutt 3 months ago.
We had no idea what to expect - we were and are delighted with
what we have found. The people that work here are kind, caring
and supportive. The apartment is lovely and the campus is
charming. We feel we have lucked out!!

The employees here are pleasant and friendly. You feel as if you have a friend in many of them. The beautiful ambiance of both the outside landscaping and the inside of the building make it a wonderful place to live while we are in this passage of time in our lives. On the third floor there is a corner where you can sit in a comfortable chair enjoying the warm sun as you read quietly and peacefully while viewing the flower gardens below. The garden views out of every window of every floor are lovely, and we are so fortunate to have the greenbelt right behind our building. The foliage allows us to enjoy the different seasons of the year. My favorite trees are those near the greenbelt that bloom with white flowers in the spring they look like snow.
