I am an ANSWER scholarship recipient, and I love the work this organization is doing for the community of Charlotte. The ANSWER personnel are attentive, gregarious, and amiable to me, which sets the tone and dynamic of the organization and in their mission to serve mothers in their academic endeavors. Their workshops have food, important speakers, knowledge, fun activities, and prizes. I am forever grateful for the unconditional love, support, resources, and empowerment that ANSWER has provided me.

I chose to become a Legacy Donor for ANSWER because I have seen how this program has changed the lives of their scholarship recipients. Many of the mothers of school-aged children they serve have come from disadvantaged circumstances and have overcome some incredible odds to make the decision to get a college education. ANSWER’s mentoring program and professional development workshops give these women the support and self-confidence they need to balance their education, holding a job and raising children. Statistics reveal the difficulty many in Charlotte have of getting out of poverty, so having a program that empowers women, role models education for their children, and helps them find new careers is, I believe, a wonderful cause. And, they happen to have highly professional and talented men and women volunteering to make this happen. Susan Harper, Ph.D.

I received a college scholarship and mentoring from ANSWER Scholarship. ANSWER has provided hope when there was little, encouragement when times were tough and inspiration for the future. Susan Andersen’s dream to help others and the hard work she has put into this program is such a positive impact on so many lives. This organization has helped over 80 mothers in Charlotte areas to go to college and achieve their dreams of earning college degree.
This is a wonderful organization that not only provides money, but mentors and professional development to ensure the success of each mother in college. It also provides mothers with a very thoughtful and supportive community. It's a wonderful organization.
