Shelter for families for the same culture they don't like people from outside they don't want help look for house programs, meeting with the case manager for updates what I'm doing they don't provide resources

I needed assistance for back rent due to my whole family getting Covid and being out of work and they told my I didn’t qualify for assistance. I am not the only one this has happened to I have heard from other people that this has happened to. Santa Clara county is one of the hardest places to get assistance when you really need it and they make you jump through hoops to be shot down. It’s crazy and it’s sad.

A year and a half ago my crippled husband who has stage 4 cancer and I had to move very quickly. We didn't have move in costs but these wonderful people helped us. It took a little longer than we needed to get the deposit paid, but the landlords worked with us and we were blessed.

Amigos de Guadalupe helped me & my daughter when we needed a place to stay. They also helped our pets (dog & cat) with shelter. We were able to stay together & I am forever grateful. They continued to help me after I moved into my own place with my $$$ deposit & with brand new furniture. Thank You !!

There need to be diversity in all government assistance programs to make sure there’s oversight. Denying people but not explaining why. I speak English and could barely understand what the lady was asking me because she barely spoke English

Very good people there they help people out like me and another friend of mine who are homeless and will be living in our car soon and now they find safe parking you got to get on the waiting list and give you information to help find the mobile shower unit and how to possibly get some food I don't know how I'll be able to cook it though if I'm living in my car and they're very helpful there are very good people highly recommending if you're in need of help they will help you

Horrible communication, I have emailed, and left various messages at the front desk for the Housing specialist, and even though they have assured me that she will call me back, I have not got my call returned or email regarding my need for deposit assistance. According to the front desk they are "overloaded" with cases and only have 3 case managers.
