What a gem! The AMHC did not disappoint. We had been wanting to visit for a few months and finally made the time to go. Such an incredible collection, all well organized and easy to browse. Sweet four-legged hosts as well. We spent over an hour there but could have easily enjoyed another loop around the museum.

I've been meaning to come here for years on my way to and from my hometown, and I am so glad I was finally able!
The collection is incredible and very well marked with informational sheets for special pieces and labels for the large groups of arti"cats"! So many different media from around the world, and just the sweetest little tour guides you could ask for! (Galileo, Oliver, and Kitty3 whose name i missed lol). Very very clean as well, contrary to other reviews there is NO litter smell at all. I especially love the research library, as people can find books they love in the outside world after!

Sure the gift shop prices are a little high, but they aren't unreasonable considering the obvious love and care that has gone into this collection. Absolutely worth every penny and then some!

One of the coolest museums I’ve ever been to. There is so much cat related stuff in this building but it’s very well organized and labeled. We absolutely loved browsing through all the kitty memorabilia and visiting with the resident cats. The curator was a treasure to talk to, such a one-of-a-kind guy. The gift shop/antique store had lots to offer and we ended up leaving with a good bit of items including some toys for our babies at home. The staff were very helpful and friendly. This place is a must-see if you are in the area, even if you aren’t a fan of cats it’s a super unique experience that I highly recommend!
