The American Brother Foundation is a foundation of love, passion, family, and remembrance. They work hard to give a voice to our service members and give back to the community in honor of our fallen heroes. I recommend everyone to learn more about their mission and support them in anyway they can.

The American Brother Foundation is a wonderful non-profit foundation established to honor and remember the 241 heroes who died in Beirut in service to their country. Elisa and her team at American Brothers hold a special place in the hearts of all those who have served and sacrificed for love of the nation and each other. The American Brother Foundation is a foundation established to remember those 241 soldiers who died in Beirut, honoring them as well as their families, while instilling patriotism and respect in our fellow Americans. The foundation also provides multiple scholarships across the United States to deserving high school seniors about to enter the world of adulthood. I believe it to be an excellent foundation.

American Brother Foundation is a wonderful organization. Ran by Hinton native Elisa Camara, the organization strives to keep the memory of not her big brother Mecot alive, but the memory of all those brave soldiers who lost their lives in the Beruit bombings. They provide scholarships, teach important lessons about patriotism, and help Gold Star families. Elisa tirelessly works towards providing help for families in need, and providing opportunities for military families to gather in remembrance of those that lost their lives in service to our great nation. Thank you, Elisa, and to all within this organization for your dedication.

I have had the honor and pleasure of meeting the founder of American Brother Foundation. This incredible foundation pays tribute to a fallen hero, Sgt. Camara and others like him, who perished in the Beirut Bombing.
All who are involved in this foundation work tirelessly to ensure that those who lost their lives on October 23rd 1983 are never forgotten.
But while remembering Americas fallen heroes, American Brother Foundation also looks forward, offering College scholarships to America’s future and honoring all Veterans, making sure that all who served are honored and remembered.
All gave some; some gave all….

I have known Elisa Camara since 1998, where we met at the 15 year anniversary of 10/23/83. She goes over & above for this foundation that she created to remember her Brother Mecot who gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country, & ALL Our brothers who never made it home from their mission as Peacekeepers to help the people of Beirut Lebanon.
Everything she does she does out of LOVE for her Brother & her Beirut Family! Everywhere she goes you will hear them say, Because of Her, They are now in touch with their old platoon Brothers.
Her motivation, enthusiasm & energy for what she is doing is contagious!
I have donated before & will again anytime I can, not just in money but in my Time to help in any way I can, because she is my Gold Star Sister & Our mission is to take care of our Widows & family of our fallen! I as one will honor her & our Gold star families!
This foundation & its scholarships are for ALL branches of Service for gold star families, NOT just Beirut gold star families!
I for one am very Proud of all her accomplishments & what she is doing to help Gold star families!
Keep your head high Sis, Mecot would be very proud of you too!! Peace & Love, Squale

Hi! My name is Jennifer Page McLaurin. I lost my husband on October 23, 1983 along side of Sgt. Mecot Camara. This foundation started by his sister is just wonderful! How amazing is it that not only does it keep the memories alive of our loved ones lost that tragic day, but it also enables students to benefit from the many donations and proceeds from this foundation. One word to describe the American Brother Foundation would be…Blessed❤️
