I go regularly and have always had good experience sometimes other visitors may not be as nice but staff always nice and helpful several years ago one female trainer not nice or personable at all but she isn't there anymore and present on some help is great

A few of the employees are rude.
Some new equipment, some very old (mainly free weights are old)
Doesn't have a pool, or a sauna or even an indoor basketball court; don't get why it wasn't made the same.
Also don't get why we're charged the same as the other YMCA, yea I understand I can go to other YMCA's blah blah blah. But I live 7 minutes from this one, 27 to the next closest one, at that point I'd go to Perfect workout. Update, going back to perfect workout I dont care about the drive-im not throwing out any names, but I informed an employee of spit/loogie in the water fountain and instead of the person cleaning it and disinfecting it they literally just splashed it down the drain with their hand
Would not recommend going here, just take the further drive.

Everytime I come here I am met with rude staff. The first issue I ever had with them I had to stop my membership for a while. They told me it was taken care of and come to find out they kept charging me and wouldn’t do anything about it. A couple years later, I decided to try them out again, I came in to ask about help on using my membership and I was talked to like I was an idiot and told nothing but, “I don’t know how to help you.”

The Alexander County Family YMCA provides a friendly workout environment with courteous, professional staff in a state-of-the-art facility. Equipment includes treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical machines, weight machines, free weights, spin class, and more. There is also a half-mile outdoor track. Get in shape at the Y!

It is a new YMCA but very very small and needs the same amenities as the other YMCA s for the price . Dont know why it wasnt made the same as other YMCAs and yes it needs a pool more ppl would purchase a membership I know I would !

Old equipment, which is not a problem, the problem is that has not be maintained very well. They need new equipment or better maintenance on the old. Plus, for the amount of space available, they need a larger weight room.

Just needs a pool be great. Nice staff,clean and good programs for the family and kids.
