The decision to place my father into a memory care unit was incredibly difficult. When I entered Aegis within minutes I knew this was my Dad’s new home. The professionalism and high standards for cleanliness was obvious. I was positive he would be well cared for. Thankfully I was correct, the entire staff and nursing team was the absolute best. The caring and loving my Dad received was beyond my expectations. Aegis became our family and words can not express how much I respect and admire this facility.

Aegis Living has been a great and loving home for my mother, who needs full care for Alzheimer's. The staff is so caring and patient. They are awesome!

My father, who, with aging, was not safe to be alone at home anymore, moved into the Assisted Living area to live closer to my mom. This helped our family so much since he ended up needing so much more nursing care than we could have provided at home.
We knew he was safe and very well cared for. The nursing staff was so patient with his needs and health issues. He was encouraged to participate in activities and socialize with others, which is very important for the elderly.
Our family is so blessed to be a part of the Aegis Living family. Thank you.

Aegis Granada Hills has become part of our extended family over the past five years. Aegis stood out as welcoming and positive from the moment we walked in the door, and a friendly dog rushed up to greet us! We loved the beautifully landscaped garden space, and the warmth of the Cape Cod decor, with high ceilings and windows, white woodwork, two large libraries, fireplaces in the common rooms, elegant dining room, and a baby grande piano.

The music program at Aegis has been such a source of joy for our mom, with performances twice a week in a variety of genres (classical, jazz, pop, musical theater). Once a month there are special family seasonal celebrations with games, music, and wonderful food. Aegis management, staff, and residents celebrated our Mom's 100th and 101st birthdays with a fabulous party!

The memory care team at Aegis has provided excellent care and support for our mom with their kindness, competence, and open communication. They let us know if there are concerns or if she needs anything, and this high level of care and communication, has given our family peace of mind. We wholeheartedly recommend Aegis Granada Hills to families that are looking for a community that is safe, caring, and positive for their loved ones in need of assisted living or memory care.

Aegis of Granada Hills deserves a 10 star review. When we decided that our parents needed extra help, I searched all over the city for a place that we were comfortable with. Once I toured Aegis, it just felt different. The staff, residents and management have a wonderful rapport. That was very important to me. Other places that guided me around their facilities would point out their amenities without ever saying a word to the residents. Both of my parents have been living at Aegis since just before the COVID lockdown. I can tell you, without a doubt, the pandemic was handled beautifully by management. Though flare-ups of covid still happen from time to time within the community, they are handled quickly and it doesn't spread like wildfire. I feel my parents are and have been in the safest place they could possibly be. Just for some perspective, both parents are fully cognisant and do not suffer from dementia or Alzheimer's. I had noticed that many of the other reviews are residents with diminished memory and higher needs. As my parents age and their needs become greater, Aegis has helped them transition along the way. I cannot recommend the Aegis facilities enough. They have become family to us.

Can't say enough good things about Aegis in Granada Hills. My Dad is in the latter stages of Alzheimer's Disease, and he requires an extremely high level of care. Prior to Aegis, he's been a resident in two other care communities. While they were adequate, our family never had the peace-of-mind that he's getting proper and thorough care until now. The community is always clean, the food is exceptional, the activities are abundant, and the staff is fantastic across the board. The price is a little high, but you get what you pay for. I and the rest of our family highly recommend Aegis Living Granada Hills.

My mom has Alzheimer’s and we moved her into Aegis in 2019, after a very difficult few years at home. At the time my mom was extremely agitated and we feared for her safety. We were worried about how she would adjust, and also whether she would be too “difficult” for the staff. But the entire management and staff put our family at ease (from our first phone call) with their understanding, compassion, and skill. Three years later, the same is still true. The management and staff are friendly, caring, and skilled. The facility is beautiful and clean. The activities staff go above and beyond with activities to keep the residents engaged. The pandemic crisis was handled professionally and deftly, with regular communication from management. I always know that she is being well cared for and that she is safe, and for that I am deeply grateful.

I got my mother in here right before Easter. There are more expensive places out there, but not better ones. I checked out so many places before choosing Aegis. Too many other places felt like the hotel from the Shinning. Aegis felt like a home to me. It is a place that I would feel comfortable going to when the time comes for me. The staff does a decent job of keeping me informed of what is going on with my mother. I find more people I know have of had loved one here. At time goes on I wish I had gotten my mother here sooner.

Aegis has been taking great care of my father. Brittany was very patient with us while we made the transition from home to assisted living. I love how everyone on staff including house keeping, kitchen, nursing, activities, med techs, caregiving, concierge, maintenance and management are professional, courteous and friendly. Everyone works very hard and with love. While living at home my dad struggled with dehydration. At Aegis, he's remained hydrated!
On a side note, I was concerned and asked about emergency protocol and preparedness for fire and earthquake and all their ducks are in a row.

I'm grateful for the care Aegis is giving my dad.
