We were greeted and acknowledged upon arrival. We told Liz we were in the market for a dog, and we'd know when we know the fit. She understood perfectly.. she showed us all the dogs, let us spend time with them. We picked our new baby, and Liz was very accommodating

AARF is a fantastic animal Rescue and sanctuary. The owner, Liz, goes above and beyond to help you with a dog or puppy selection. She is experienced and well knowledged. She puts in long hard hours and the results show in an organized and well kept sanctuary. It is clean and well-kept. Definitely a great place to find your next 4-legged friend.

The dogs in the sanctuary are loved and very well taking care of. Each dog has their own little house with an air conditioner and their own fenced yard. They have been taking out for a walk then interacting with human friends in a barn which is sectioned to many rooms and furnished with variety of chairs to sit down and been petted. Small to large, brand new puppies to 16 years old ready to be adopted.
I got a tour this morning that is why I do know all about this wonderful place!

I wanted to adopt a rescue dog and they sent people out to inspect my home and yard and these people claimed that my no climb fencing used for livestock was chicken wire and they refused me. I think that they need to educate those that are inspecting as to the difference between heavy duty fencing and chicken wire.

Beautiful, Wonderful caring facility where the animals are well taken care and find great homes. All adoptions are vetted with home checks. Wish it was this way with all facilities that find homes for animals!!!

Aarf rescued my family as well as countless critters this year alone. We lost our 10 year old rescue pup Sam unexpectedly, and our other 11 year old rescue pup, my husband and myself were devastated. After a week, we decided we needed to rescue a new pup that could help us continue on in life.

While I’m thankful 2020 enabled many homes to adopt, we were left unable to find any pup available to fit into our routine. Anne answered my call on Tuesday morning, and allowed my husband and I to visit soon after, after making countless failing appointments at local humane societies and rescues in and out of state. We were introduced to a few pups, and the facility and experience were better than I could have ever hoped for. We were able to take home Sully a reasonable time after a home check and meet and great with our other pup. Liz supervised the meeting, and was more than knowledgeable. Anne let us know that Liz had actually been a part of the rescue where our 11 year old pup had come from all those years ago.

Seeing our new pup Sully and our OG Mikki wrestle each morning, to then go on a hike and play later each day makes every day so fulfilling. AARF’s facility is amazing, and the staff so caring and involved. I want to be a part of this rescue, and can’t wait to see the adoptions as well as rescue developments in the future.

I witnessed the intake of 3 unwanted dogs. They were welcomed with open arms and taken care of right away. They were spayed and updated on all vaccinations. All three have been adopted since and are living the good life.
I can’t picture anybody being turned down for adopting a dog for the reason of moving 20 minutes away from where they lived.
There had to be another reason for Dakota to be turned down for adoption.
These people do home checks and background checks. Did you pass both of those Dakota?

Love this place. I am a little prejudice because it is my cousin's rescue, but if it wasn't for them, I never would have found my furrbaby Tink!
