For a school that says they accommodate children with special needs, they really don't. Prior to enrolling my child, I was told they work with children who are on the Autism Spectrum and that they can provide the resources needed. So I went ahead and completed the enrollment process, submitted all required documents ( so they knew what they were dealing with) and was ready for the first day of school. On the day of, I was immediately told they can’t work with my child because they don't in fact have the resources or staff. They don’t have 1:1 TAs, speech therapists, zero resources. They’re not really trained to deal with children like that. However the thing that hurt the most was observing how the teacher and her TAs pushed him to the side, ignoring the fact that he was overstimulated by so many people in the room. I witnessed a TA give him dirty looks and when she looked up at me, she noticed I was looking at her and walked away. This school lacks training in working with children with special needs and lacks empathy.
