This place is not what it seems behind the scenes. These people here treat and talk to their volunteers like they are trash. Specifically, the person they leave in charge of putting the food up. I made a complaint about him calling volunteers stupid and degrading them. Robin Rush (person in charge) is that person's good friend. So, unbeknownst to me making that complaint put a Target on my back. After I filed the complaint she stopped me from going to the back, and one day when I was taking the trash out (have to walk through the back) the guy in charge of putting the food away started yelling at me. I asked him if he's on a power trip and he said " yeah, so what if I am". Then when I told Robin I think he doesn't like me because of the skin color I am she went crazy. Saying that all the employees were complaining about me talking about myself. When all I did was ever ask their own questions. But that's what happens when you're black and you're around a bunch of white baby boomers, They smile your face and talk behind your back And make you look like the problem. I was doing community service hours here and Robin Rush tried to lie to my lawyer saying that I said " I just don't understand why people don't want to get to know me" which is an absolute lie because I really don't care. I was open and honest with people's questions. Be very wary of this place if you have a backbone and you don't like people talking to you disrespectfully. There's a lot of people with developmental disabilities that volunteer here and they completely take advantage of them. When I told Robin I will be making a complaint with the attorney general about this place and how they treat their volunteers is when she started making up stuff to my lawyer. Most people that are doing community won't speak out because they are afraid of getting in trouble with whatever case they have going on. I'm not afraid of her, and don't have an issue putting this on blast because it's wrong. As an organization they seem to do good things for the community, that's not in question here. They do a really good job of hiding who they really are behind the services they offer. I honestly would not be surprised if Robin Rush somehow tried to sabotage me in some way, but fortunately I have nothing to do with this place anymore. I found a place that treats their volunteers with respect and dignity.

Great place, truly a blessing for them to be of service to our community. No one should starve or go hungry , but unfortunately, many do. However, recovery road is there to support our community with many resources. I love your work.

This place is amazing. I've been assisted by Angelo. He is incredible! He guided me through the process of family court and helped me achieve full legal and physical custody of my 8 & 4 year old children. I would have been completely and utterly lost without him. He is a miracle and a complete blessing for me and my 2 kids.
We need more places like Recovery Road in the world.
I would give recovery road 10 stars if I could

My cousin brought me a food donation since I'm disabled at this time. They are so generous here . I was overwhelmed with emotion when I went to put it all away. Thank you so much.when I'm back to work, I plan to donate food here because the food I received was great .God bless these people for helping those like me who don't qualify for foodstamps.
