I was there Fri 11/01. No wait time. It's a nice restaurant. Prices are not bad at all. I ordered a margarita but it wasn't that good. It tasted as if it were from a bottle. Not fresh mixed. We got tortillas And butter as appetizer and they are delicious. Also got chips and salsa. We waited a bit for the food. Restaurant was not packed. We never got refills water/ soda.

Alamo Cafe is your classic Tex-Mex experience. The restaurant is enormous and has awesome vibes. The service was on point our server was very attentive. Most importantly the food was delicious especially the tortillas. My only critique is the chips and salsa weren't my favorite. I would definitely bring family or friends to this place for a gathering.

This place is always “last meal” worthy! Bring on the tortillas and beef fajitas! There are lots of places to eat Mexican food in this city. But this is my favorite. They seat you quickly and the ambiance is amazing. I live on the other side of town, but when the traffic is clear- this is where I go! Near 281 and Bitters.

They seemed very busy(we went during peak dinner) but we were seated right away. The mango chamoy margarita was delicious. I got the Chile Relleno with chicken fajita and it was great. My son got the shrimp enchiladas and he ate every bite. Chips and queso were super good. The fresh made tortillas were delicious we got a bag of them to take home!

First time ever here and the last time!! First they get my order wrong then the enchiladas tortillas are hard from being under cooked or just not fresh. Then my waiter just disregards me by not bringing me tortillas until i had to remind him. Should have stuck to my gut and went to the southside. Place needs to step up because too many mexican restaurants in san antonio with way better food!!

I went to the Whodunit Mystery Murder Show tonight and I had a blast! The actors were great and the food was really good. I didn't find the murderer, but I had fun nevertheless.

Came to this restaurant with family and enjoyed our time with Claire! This waitress was absolutely amazing. The customer service and showing concerns with any allergies we had. This food was delicious, recommend the shrimp enchilada plate. I will definitely be coming again. Thank you Claire for your excellent service!

Tex Mex staple of your in San Antonio. Amazing fresh tortillas, chips, salsa, and queso. Get the appetizer sampler, you won’t be disappointed. I grew up eating the chili relleno here and it slaps! The Laredo chicken it awesome too. Don’t forget about the fajitas and chicken fried steak. Reasonable prices paired with good service.
