Rescue is a part of the owner's home. There is limited parking, so if you have a bigger group, carpooling is a good idea.
They are open at 10 a.m., and calling ahead to make an appointment is HIGHLY suggested.
There are several species of birds that have been saved. The birds have both indoor and outdoor areas to perch, eat/drink, and play. The owner is knowledgeable and willing to teach those who are willing to learn. The birds are completely at ease with him, and some will even come perch on you if you are patient and quiet.

The owner is very knowledgeable and cares deeply for birds. I am impressed by how much thought, time, and resources he put into giving these birds proper care, enrichment, and space. I highly recommend going to him for all questions on birds and their needs. If unfortunately you must surrender your bird then I recommend talking to him. At least you will know they are receiving the best care.

Some of the sweetest people with the biggest hearts I’ve ever met. They care so much about animals and want to ensure their safety and happiness while still making rerelease the goal when possible. I contacted them about a newborn raccoon and by the time we got there they were ready with formula and prepared to take over. Unfortunately the baby didn’t make it but they cared for it until it passed and I know they made its last moments peaceful and full of love. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This sanctuary is a great place to call for assistance in rehabilitation for wildlife and parrots. They are knowledgeable, resourceful, compassionate, and helpful in anyway they possibly can. I highly recommend Arkansas Parrot Rescue, they take great care of all the animals they come in contact with.

We recently visited this sanctuary. Each parrot is known by name, their personal likes, dislikes. Well fed. We decided to support this sanctuary in monthly donation and hopefully our time in assisting George with fulfilling his vision.

Was more than willing to take in a baby rabbit I saved from a cat. (It had a horrible gash but was alive) The man who helped me was warm, informative, and empathic. If there's ever another wild animal that needs help and I can't help them, I will definitely contact this business again!!?

Re: response from owner. I do not own a cockatoo nor a child, thank you. LOL. And it's just plain sad you see pot as "drug use". Readers beware of this amount of CRAZY... ;p

VERY uncompassionate people, & not a real rescue. Provided a slew of misinformation, & some really harmful advice.
