They don't acknowledge verbal, emotional, or psychological abuse. I know someone going through it now. Serenity refused to help her, stating she must have been physically beaten to qualify for their services. It's tragically sad when the "experts" don't know what they're doing. I'm telling my friends, orgs, and churches to stop supporting Serenity House.
