I had an incident today involving a rat and a snake that came into my residence chasing after the rat. Animal services was called to remove the snake. I first encountered the 2 1/2 ft snake in my bathtub and thought it was a rattler due to it's striking resemblance. But I noticed that it didn't have the rattle on its tail. It had a long stringy tail like that of a rat. Rudy Mencilla shows up few minutes after being called. He promptly and professionally came in, checked out the area and by my description of the snake identified that it was not a rattler but a rat snake, common to the area and not venomous. I was relieved to find out. This gentleman was professional, informative and very knowledgeable of his work. I just want to thank GAS and give credit where credit is due. Kudos Rudy Mencilla for a job well done. Thank you for putting me at ease and explaining that it was a harmless snake.

Animal control sucks. They took hours to come get the dog that’s been in the Heat all day!!!!! They said since we’ve been giving it water it complicates the circumstances of getting the dog rescued just because we showed it decent humanity. Animal control came and he made me get the dog and contain it MYSELF!!!!! Lazy!!!!!! Very non perfectional and I wish I got the name of the officer because he was plain out disrespectful and so was the older woman on dispatch and I really hope they see this comment personally.

I have been calling compliance for a rooster that has been walking around going on 2 weeks. I've had an officer come out one time and say the owner will surrender the animal (rooster) by Monday. We'll I am looking at the rooster now. This rooster has Scratched up my car (hood area) and did #2 on my car and my entire garage. How can I get some help? The Supervisor I just got off the phone with says someone is coming, REALLY. I do have the supervisor name.

If I could give zero stars, I would. They provided absolutely no help and no resources. What’s the point of animal services if they won’t help save animals? “Sticking to procedure” is such a funny way to say “yeah we actually don’t care about animals. They can die.” Disgusting and inhumane.

I'm not sure where all these bad reviews are coming from. We just called GAS at about 7:30 at night to come and check on a raccoon that was acting very strangely. We tried to scare it off and the animal simply didn't move, so we called GAS. The officer that came out was very thorough in his search, polite and got the job done. By the time he arrived, the animal had moved to one of my neighbor's yard, and the officer found and captured it. Many thanks to the team at GAS, job well done.

Garland animal services is a JOKE! There's a guy in my neighborhood that keeps his dog in his truck. DAY and NIGHT. Animal control came out one time and didn't take the dog. It's been over a week and the dog is still in the truck. It's been in the 90°s and it's even hotter in that truck. We've continuously called but they seem annoyed and never send anyone out or just transfer us to the shelter. WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?!

Tristan(GAS) came and helped us with a sick skunk. He was kind, informative and humanely sedated the skunk for removal. The poor little thing was sick, suffering and resting in our shady yard and Tristan gently cared for it. Thank you for a kind and sensitive final gesture for a sick young skunk.

One of the worse service. Customer service was horrible! I ended up adopting a sick kitten that til this day I'm still having issues with that is costing me. They have a horrible attitudes. They wouldn't allow me to speak with a supervisor. I'm reporting this organization to the Humane Society. I don't recommend ANYONE to adopt from this organization!
