I appreciate any church that strives to preach the gospel 🙏🏾 However, when the gospel leads a new believer to false beliefs about living a righteous life and God's judgement, then it must be rebuked or reprooved.

The young Pastor said God doesn't punish his people and that he bore that punishment on the cross. This is prosperity Gospel. God most certainly will punish his people either directly or indirectly; letting the enemy have his way.

As a matter of fact Hebrews 12-6 says, For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he punishes every son he accepts.”

What loving father wouldn't punish their children in order to correct their behavior? Teaching there is no punishment to a congregation filled with college, impressionable students is highly dangerous and damaging. Just bc God bore our punishment for sin does not mean we are free from corrective punishment. This is no different from Him bearing our sin on the cross....we are still capable of sinning.

Im praying this college town will be bold enough to ask questions. In the end your personal salvation is not guaranteed in a Pastor or simply showing up to church, but in your faith in Christ and understanding of His revelation. God bless.

Awesome gospel center Christian church. Theologically sound preaching, excellent worship (usually acoustic guitar, keyboard, cajon); awesome kids ministry during both services as well. Currently hosting services at Crosslife church but will have their own permanent space just up the road in a few months 😃

Great Church! Teaching the Word of the Bible. Pastor Josh has so much passion and excitement and he does great relating the message. They are reaching young adults and young families and it is wonderful to see these young people coming to the Lord Jesus. All the Pastors and Staff are amazingly genuine, welcoming and have a passion for spreading the word and being a Light in the world! May this place continue to be Blessed.

I love Center Church. I have been going there for a little over a year now, and it has been great. The community is awesome & they do a great job of getting you connected and involved. I have met some great people as well & made close friends. Their preaching is also amazing, gospel-centered and based on scripture. Center Church has been a great church home while I have been a student at the University of Virginia.
