Before moving my Mother to Mt. Vista for hospice care , a woman named Tracy called me and began badgering me with phone calls after they had “accepted “ my Mother for care . It felt like she had a quota to meet. She spoke and acted like a “high pressure salesperson “ trying to “close” immediately. Right off the bat she asked if I had the money to pay for this. It’s a business and I understand that. However, THEIR business is to usher peoples loved ones thru the final stages of their life. And yet….Literally, no discussion about my Mother’s care or health or what I was going thru. You would think that someone in her position would at least start off with something like “I know this must be stressful for you” or “First of all we want you to know your Mom will be in good hands, or maybe “How are you holding up?” No. Nothing. Instead she immediately sent me docusign documents to initial and sign. The majority of the documents said that “This set of regulations “ and “That set of regulations “ had been fully explained to me and that I acknowledged them when in fact NONE of them had been explained. Tracy sent me these documents and said “call me with any questions,” having explained NONE of them in ANY way shape of form. When I contacted her to discuss that my agreeing to those clauses -when in fact they had NOT been explained - constituted contractual fraud in the state of Arkansas, she hung up on me. Seriously —she HUNG up on me. My faith in Mt. Vista’s ability to care for my Mother deteriorated on the spot.. She showed NO concern for my Mothers terminal situation or the fact that this was still a shock to me. If this is the quality of person Mt. Vista has admitting patients, I would be sure to find ANY other option available. I spoke to
The Case Worker the Critical Care Center my Mom had been at and she said Tracy was the same way with her: abrupt, disrespectful, and shockingly rude. The Mt Vista facility is praying on the vulnerability of the people who need it at the worst moment of their lives. Shameful. Truly shameful.

If you don't care what kind of care your parents or loved ones receive, then by all means, put them in Mt Vista. Hated having my mother-in-law there. Took her to another facility, and I have been impressed. Mt Vista is the worst place to put anyone there.

This place is beyond awful to place a love one.
My dad went in with stage two pressure sores and came home with stage 4 and ended back in CCU. My MIL was in this same facility over 15 yrs ago...different owner at the time and the furniture is still the same. Very little upgrades done in 15 yrs!!!
For what they charge a patient per day/month this place needs to improve 100%.
There are a few good employees that I encountered with my dad. Shout out to Christy/RN, Becca/CNA, Lorretta/director and a young man who's a CNA from Carroll county.

My cousins husband has been in here for a few years now and the staff treat him so well, even with being so short staffed.
We are pleased and more importantly my cousins husband is pleased with his care.
My cousin has just gotten out of rehab here from a fall. She was very pleased with her care.
These caring employees deserve so much more.
I wish the owners of this center would see their worth.

We visited a friend today, there was someone singing hymns. The facility was very nice and clean. Her room was clean and tidy. She said that she liked living there. We had a great visit with our friend. We will be back.

Don’t trust these people my mom laid for a week with pneumonia before anything was done. They claim they x-rayed her lungs on 16th but on 17th she was in ER near death. I asked them 4 times to brush her teeth and even provided special brushes for people who can’t swallow but every time I visited her teeth were nasty. Her room was always a mess and we had to clean it everytime we visited. This is an awful place to put a loved one
