Never had a problem until I called to cancel. Called them on the last day of the month to cancel and they told me they couldn't process until the following month because they "already started the draft" and they don't do credits or refunds. I would've absolutely used Sedera again until now, but if this is how they do business I can't imagine if I had ever had a claim how it would've gone. I think I dodged a bullet. Avoid these folks.

Sedera has been fantastic for me and my family. We got this offered through my employer and they have exceeded my expectations in coming over from traditional health insurance.

It does take some time getting use to the difference in philosophy, mindset, and terminology but well worth it for our family.

We were able to save over $700 per month as a family and paired this with a DPC to take care of our day to day medical needs.

My wife had a knee injury soon after we enrolled and everyone has been really helpful, the process has been straight forward and the community kicked in the funds for the needs of surgery.

You do have to put in a little more " work" in the front end and participate more in the process, but it has been well worth it and overall a much better experience than traditional insurance so far.

I love the thought behind Sedera how it works and how it is a solution to the frustrations many people have faced trying to insure a family through traditional health insurance.

Keep up the great work!

I have been a Sedera member for a little over a year. Just recently I tore my ACL, resulting in a need for surgery. I was anxious about approaching surgery without traditional insurance. (Being a self-pay patient, asking doctors for itemized bills, requesting good faith estimates, etc- it was all new to me.) Thankfully, Sedera has made it a very positive experience! Their portal is easy to use, they are quick to respond to questions, AND they covered the entire cost of my surgery. To top it off, these flowers arrived today, wishing me a smooth recovery. They are from Sedera. Thank you so much, Sedera!

A few tips to potential or current members: read and follow the membership guidelines, read the advice your needs coordinator provides, submit your itemized bills right away, remind the doctors you are self pay, take Sedera’s recommendation and use Savvos for upcoming procedures. (Savvos is a partnering company that negotiated a bundled price for my procedure- they too were absolutely fantastic!)

I am confident in utilizing Sedera for my family’s healthcare needs. Thanks again!

My husband and I have used Sedera for 6 years now and we are very happy with it. We have recommended it to our 3 grown children and their families. It is very different from traditional insurance but I love the predictability. Once my IUA is met (like a deductible) Sedera pays 100% and it doesn't lapse at the end of the year. We have been self-employed and then semi-retired for the past 10 years and our decision to drop our health insurance and move to Direct Primary Care + Sedera has been the best decision we've made in a long time.

Sedera is a great option for those who are able to and want to pay for most of their own preventative care, but need help with major illnesses or injuries. I think this is how our healthcare system should work. I think I paid less out of pocket for the surgery I needed than I would have with traditional insurance. I feel confidant I can get the care I need between my direct primary care doctor and coverage through Sedera.

We often complain when things don't go well and maybe that is fair but how often do say thank you when things do go well?
Keely Penn was my needs coordinator and professional at Sedera. Thank you Keely and the Sedera team for the way you handled my health issue that popped up last year. Keely was great to work with and always was timely in her communications and answers when I needed them. My wife and I have been Sedera members for several years and my experiences have been excellent.
If you are not sure about Medical Cost Sharing and this community, from my perspective it is a great choice. Yes, different but in my opinion a better option. We want to be involved in our health care decisions and with other plans and companies you don't always have that capability but with Sedera you do. Check them out and take it from one who knows they do very well when there is a need. They did for me! Glad to be a member.
Best Kevin H. Parsley

I cannot recommend Sedera enough. You will never find a more personal, helpful service. They have helped us through hospital visits, surgeries, and chronic illness with compassion. Our costs are significantly less than they would be with traditional insurance.

Sedera has been a great partner to our numerous clients that have adopted Sedera in the last 18 months. Their experience with Member Services when a Need was submitted has exceeded expectations. The compassion and the willingness to help through a stressful medical issue is something many of our customers have not experienced through traditional insurance companies.

Once customer stated that Medical Cost-Sharing not only saves money but provides a personalized service they have never experienced.

The expertise and the customer oriented focus of Sedera makes them a great fit for anyone looking to save money and enhance their experience and care through a complex model.
