I've been a member for a decade now. The recent switch to age-based dues was a positive move, but the way they executed it is absurd. Older members once again get taken care of, by being grandfathered into the old dues structure, which for them is a far lower rate than the age-based dues calculation. But people who signed up young and have been paying for years don't get any credit for having done so, and their only option is to pay the old rates, or pay age-based rates based on current age, as if they had waited until they're middle-aged to become a member. This is the third in a long line of ridiculous dues setups, and I'm tired of paying a lifetime worth of dues to someone whose primary accomplishment over my expected 55-year membership, is to continuously make me feel unfairly treated.

I'm an Alcor member so I'm a little biased, but I was able to visit the facilities and attend a conference here in Scottsdale. The science behind this is very solid in my opinion and the staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about their work. I'm hoping my dad and I get a trip to the future!
