I have shopped many Goodwill locations and have had many great experiences. I've shopped this location many times as well, and I have to say it's the worst store I've shopped in. First time, I thought anyone could have a bad day. But as it seems to be ongoing I have to say the atmosphere is not of a friendly nature. The manager, Erika is continually rude to other employees as well as to customers. It is awful and creates a very awkward, uncomfortable feeling. As a company who states they strive to help people I would think at least a little kindness would be extended to people in the store, workers and shoppers. Shameful. I will not shop here again.

Didn't really want to give it one star but... had been working in the flower beds this hot humid day. I had to run to the grocery store to get a couple of things to grill. Stopped at the goodwill to see what kind of yard ornaments and such they may have, if any. There was some tables that I didn't see the price. Whoever the lady is that is in management, she has to be one of the rudest people I have ever meet. I know I'm looking ruff but the way she's looking and talking to me you would think I had leprosy. To top it off when she couldnt help me or wouldnt, when I started walking off she says to her co worker I think I ran her off from the dumpster before. I said excuse me, she just looked at me like she wanted to run through me. I said it wasn't me you ran off.
She definitely doesn't have the attitude or people skilks for retail. I just left my buggy and the stuff I was going to buy sitting right there. Definitely won't be going back there.
Running someone off from the dumpster, really you rather it go in a landfills than let some one have it. So where does the name Goodwill come from.

Definitely one of the more spacious and organized Goodwill stores, no complaints from my visit today so I’d definitely go back there again when I’m in Arab.

This use to be my go to store everyday but........

New management has literally made it so uncomfortable in there so i go once in awhile now and drive to boaz or Huntsville instead. Whoever the new manager is (I'm guess its Erica after today with her popping off), is extremely rude to the customers. If you need to look in the case she will just walk off or give you a awful look like you are inconviencing her and make you feel uncomfortable. She had seen me standing up there and walked off while still able to see me the whole time. How are you a manager but do not see if the customers would like to see anything I had to take pics through the glass to see which brand security cameras were. I finally gave up I wanted the cameras but not bad enough to wait on a rude manager. When customers walked up and rang the bell twice because it didn't fully work the first time she said she will be right there extremely rude and that's to a customer trying to pay. As I was going to leave I hear her say if the racks get messed up that she would be a upset im paraphrasing because it was something more awful I believe she said Erica would be upset referring to herself so I believe her name is Erica and how I know she is a manager is the way she was talking to the employees like they were beneath her and they were uncomfortable laughing. I definitely do not know how any one works under her because if she is that rude to customers and popping of to her employers in front of customers like she was I would assume it's a extremely uncomfortable work environment. I miss feeling welcome in that store not like a bother and this is not the first incident this is like the 10th y'all need to do better because that lady needs some anger management. Management like her is the reason no one wants to keep certain jobs and how all the good employees end up elsewhere and the customers.

I went to this store for the first time to pick up some children’s books ,saw a small rack that have two shelves ( the shelves are attached ).The cashier charged me twice for the rack. When I questioned, she replied the shelves are sold seperate since it is not taped together with a tape even though they are attached. I have no way of knowing that the shelves of a rack will be sold seperate. So,I decided not to take the rack, since I thought the rack not worth double the price. The cashier goes rudely “ all sales are final” and she will not return my money. I am still at the cash counter when this happened , it is not like I came back to return the items I purchased. It is a simple misunderstanding of the price , how will a customer know the shelves of a rack will be sold seperate and the taped thing . I asked her if I can talk to someone and she goes I am the store manager with full attitude. So this rude and rotten attitude lady is the manager. I am forced to buy the rack basically. I usually like goodwill and also donated items but will think twice before doing again. It is not about money but how you treat people!
