had a truly amazing experience at Empowering Potential sober living home. The environment was supportive, structured, and genuinely focused on recovery. The staff was compassionate and professional, always available to help when needed, and they created a safe space where everyone was treated with respect and dignity.

The house itself was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable — a calm and peaceful place that helped me stay grounded in early sobriety. Having regular chores, curfews, and accountability helped me build a routine and develop life skills that have been crucial to my recovery.

What really stood out was the sense of community. Living with others who were on the same path made a huge difference. We held each other up, shared our experiences, and celebrated our progress together.

I’m grateful for the time Im spending here — it gave me a strong foundation to build a sober and fulfilling life. Thank you James Romero and Rachel romero

Truly awful. They agreed to house my schizophrenic sister despite having ZERO experience nor knowledge of the illness nor the common behaviors of those who suffer from it. They did nothing to ensure she had access to the medication she depends on, nor help her access adequate mental health resources for her condition. After about a month, they claimed they could no longer provide the care she needed and tried to tell us that we accept the responsibility of care for her after they neglected her treatment the entire duration of her stay. They then kicked her out on the street when she was in full psychosis. This is NOT THE RIGHT PLACE FOR PEOPLE WITH SCHIZOPHRENIA OR OTHER SEVERE MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE HOUSING PEOPLE WHO HAVE A CONDITION THEY HAVE NO EXPERIENCE WITH.

Beautiful and spacious home, which also includes free use of washer/dryer. As well as toilet paper, cleaning supplies and much more. Most sober livings don’t provide any of this. rules and curfew? Absolutely. With that said, I’ve been a resident for 6 months and have managed to follow all the rules. If you’re someone like me, that was fresh out of rehab, I needed the accountability. If I wanted to slip back to my old lifestyle I would have requested to go to a less structured sober living. I do not regret my decision to stay at EPH, it has taught me time-management, given me structure, encouraged me to be more kind & mindful and best of all having the best support during my recovery.

I've been at EPH's Benson house for 5 weeks now. Benson house is clean and items such as toilet paper, paper towels, are provided, and a variety of spices and food for those who do not have the resources to get their own food are offered as well.
The rules are clear, fair, and make sense. Staff also does not play games, but gives straightforward answers to questions and reasons certain rules are in place.
For 40 years I worked in the field of recovery. I managed programs, trained staff, and have been a resident in many types of houses. This program requires enough structure to help make recovery successful without being overwhelming. Empowering Productive Housing rocks!
