I was a guest at the Flinn Foundation Building. My review is solely referring to the hospitality I received. My spouse was attending a three day conference there. The first day I drove back and forth from the hotel. Because my spouse was feeling ill, the second day I stayed at the Flinn Foundation building and spent my time sitting in the commons area right outside the conference room doing work via my cell phone. The third day I planned on sitting in the same chair, headphones on and anxiously waiting for conference breaks to distract me from the mondaine silence and solitude. Conference attendees commented on my willingness to sit and wait for my spouse for three days. This was not the Flinn Foundations attitude. Although I was in no ones way, remained quiet, was respectful to anyone coming and going, I was jeered at and educated on proper sitting posture.
Out of no disrespect, but out of pure numbness in my legs, I crossed my leg under me. My shoe was on the cushion of the chair. Granted my mother told me to never put my feet on the couch but I was surprised to see this rose to an infraction a Flinn Foundation employee found was so severe as to school me on proper sitting etiquette. I quickly corrected my error and remained a quiet and respectful guest. But then...
I am a smoker. So were a few other conference attendees. As normal, during a break, out to the parking lot, driveway and far away from the building sidewalks and entrances we went. I too hate walking through a gang of smokers to get to where I’m going so I’m very conscientious about this. As I just lit my cigarette , here comes the same Flinn Foundation employee driving up in his Jeep to tell me I needed to walk to the street to smoke. It’s 110 degrees and I’m already at least 200 feet away in a parking lot.
Well, I definitely did not feel welcome as a visitor or guest at this location. In fact as I’m still sitting here for another 3 of my 8 hours here, Mr maintenance man has hovered and checked on my status 8 times already.

Attending this location as support for an event - I was impressed by the quality of the facility, how clean and organized the building was, the great location, as well as how friendly and helpful the staff were.
