I drive an hour away from my home just to make sure my donations go to Spreading Threads. As a social worker in child welfare, all I wanted to do is save all the children and buy them everything they needed. I have taken kids shopping before and paid out of my own pocket, but that’s not sustainable. Spreading Threads has helped me feel like I am able to help the kids that need help without the bureaucratic hoops to jump through just to help a child. We’re all just trying to help and make a positive difference. This organization takes some of that weight off of my shoulders and makes it easier for me to have one of those good days that reminds me of why I’m a social worker at all. I now work in a different area of social work but I continue to make the drive just to make sure my donations go to a place I can guarantee prioritizes the needs of kids in foster care.

They weee very busy. Great place to go when in need for clothing and shoes. Only for foster and adoptive children. Staff are very helpful.

This is a WONDERFUL organization that sets up a second hand shop for foster kids with the donations. It's the only NPO that I know of (in Tucson) who give directly to the kids.
