What a complete joke of an organization
Denied my niece to play any varsity sports for a year because she changed schools. Launched this “investigation “ on why she changed schools. They were provided with more information about why she switched schools than anyone needs to know and they STILL denied her. All she wanted was to be involved in something and they are denying her of that. Disgusting, disgraceful, infuriating

terrible organization with one of leaders Mel Dow! They wanted to ban my daughter to play high school sports, because we moved. Can you believe this? Simple relocation triggered a suspicion that we want to take some sort of imaginary sports advantage. Very poor performance, and mentioned guy must be fired!

I am talking strickly about the Game of Basketball. I think this Body that governs sports espcially Basketball both Men and Women's need to take a Wisconsin Location class before Doing the Brackets for the upcoming WIAAWI toureny . FVL,Mosinee,Mensha, and New London Should NEVER be traveling to Onalaska or La Central for a Regional Semi game ! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ! Also Kettle Moraine needs to be with Waukesha/Milwaukee area not Madison!

Second , The state Toureny Get rid of division 5 and put Three Day basketball for Division 1 back on our Schudule and keep a bracket for division stickly for Madison area teams for mens side of the field to make it to the state toureny (did a great job with Wauankee and Lake Mills ) . In Addition to that , The preformance Factor for moving up a division that needs to be Gone ! Wisconsin Lutheran needs to stay in Division 1 or else no Recuirting . the Jalen Johnson Rule if a player wants to leave for prep school he has to sit out one year if he returns .

The organization by no means has the "Student Athlete" as it's main focus. By no means do they do a good job of creating an extension of the classroom on the playing field. They are a business that says non-profit, but for explanation purposes hospitals are non-profit as well. Their officers and directors are paid handsomely for solely organizing high school sports in Wisconsin. They're focus is not the kids, the kids are a number and have no name. Organizing the sport and other admin work is what they're paid for and they're years behind on their methods.

Continued. I just watched the State Hockey Tournament, and it’s an absolute disgrace. They have the worst announcers humanly possible. Just a bunch of stuttering, followed by some Bob having no idea what he’s talking about color announcer. He couldn’t tell you the difference between any specific forecheck or d zone system. Then they have the balls to stick the women between the boys state championship. Could you make it any more obvious that you feel the women aren’t worth they’re own weekend tournament WIAA your a disgrace. It’s not about you or the Cash. Pay the money to have a decent state tournament. Get some decent knowledgeable announcers, give the women they’re own weekend in Madison, and make it more watchable.

Strongly believe the WIAA exists to serve the membership of 500+ high schools (and many middle schools) in the state. Many strong and capable leaders on staff, who work hard to provide guidance and support for all member schools.

Bill Semmens, a XC and track and field official is an an absolutely disgusting human being. He has physically and verbally threatened members of my son’s team, DQ’s members of teams he doesn’t like, and more. He put pressure onto my son’s friends chest last night WITH HIS FOOT and claimed that I’d he didn’t admit he was wrong he’d apply more pressure. Another instance he threatened a team that he would hang them if they didn’t step behind the line and pointed at a telephone pole. That team had many black kids so I believe it was also racially motivated.

My son went to St John's Military to live on campus for a year. He did not play volleyball while there because they did not have a team. He went back to CMH his senior year after getting his grades up high enough that he made it to the deans list. WIAA still said he was not eligible to play because of "the rules." He left to better himself and was denied. This place takes something very precious from these kids. He loved the sport, its was great for team building, exercise and kept him out of any trouble teenagers get into. Its unfortunate such an organization exists. They are awful and should be ashamed of what they do to these kids.

Are you ready for the lie that the WIAA promotes? This is a cut-and paste from their web-site:

"Watch all the action of the State Tournament streamed live on the WIAA.TV portal of the NFHS Network. Click to subscribe and watch all the action during the tournament."

It's totally false. They want you to buy their subscription streaming plan and promise you that you'll be able to see all the games of the tournament. You can't. WIAA has a contract with Bally's to stream the championship games. You only get the semifinal (and in some sports the quarterfinals). This is just wrong. WIAA also needs to drop Bally's. Hardly anyone gets that anymore since they dropped all major streaming services. Stop the lies and get with the times.
