A Heartfelt Concern for Pathways Church

This is writing with a heavy heart. We wanted to love Pathways Church deeply—its mission, its community, and the way it has helped so many grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. The events, prayer groups, opportunities to serve, and a hope for leadership have been a blessing to countless people, including me.

But now, I feel compelled to address some serious concerns. Since the resignation of the Senior Pastor, it’s become clear that the church is struggling with discipline and accountability. Despite being provided with critical information to protect the children and the church body, leadership has failed to act.

There are individuals like my wife Shanda (Twine) and Eric on the worship team currently serving in key roles who should not be, given their patterns of behavior. One individual, she has multiple DUIs, a history of heavy marijuana use, and ongoing acts of adultery, is still in charge of children. This is not about judgment—it’s about responsibility, accountability, and protecting the vulnerable.

Yes, we are all sinners saved by grace, but the Bible is clear about the importance of discipline within the church. Matthew 18:15-17 and 1 Corinthians 5 outline the steps for addressing sin in a loving but firm way, both for the sake of the individual and the church as a whole. Ignoring sin in leadership roles not only jeopardizes trust but also fails to uphold the standards Christ has set for His church.

Would Jesus approve of turning a blind eye to these issues, or would He call us to address them with love, truth, and accountability? This is not about condemnation—it’s about creating a safe, God-honoring environment for everyone, especially our children.

I pray that Pathways Church will take these matters seriously, seek wisdom from Scripture, and act in a way that reflects the heart of Christ. This is not the church I once believed in, but I still have hope for its future if leadership chooses to act with courage and integrity.

Terrible ridiculously shallow anxiety building preach today.😡 not worth a quarter in the basket. Don’t go here there is no depth, no sincerity when reciting words. Dead space of nothing. Unless leading you into a life of sin and all its excuses is your thing

The best a non-denomination church can get. Especially in the Midwest- Wisconsin. The message given is practical and edifying. The worship is helpful. The staff is kind, honest, and friendly. Clean, organized atmosphere. Very organized system in daycare and the nursery, so you feel assured leaving your kids there, and the bathrooms are good. It's a bigger crowd church if you're into that, rather than a one room church. Well planned out church in the Fox Valley.

Fantastic Sunday church experience. We've been going for ~10 years and love the weekly messages that tie into daily life, great worship music, they have a great volunteer kids ministry, wonderful events for everyone throughout the year, and plenty of serving opportunities at church and in the community.

There are so many ways to get involved. Social media. Prayer request. Groups. Daily dose. If you are called to serve. This is the place you wanna be at.

This rating is mainly for the teaching. I’ve helped organize speakers for Men’s conferences, which has given me the opportunity to see 30+ local teaching pastors. Pastor Adam is in my top three most gifted teachers in the Valley. Three keys to success are: let the Word provide the substance, be relatable through transparency relative to your own struggles, and make sure the application calls out examples of how Jesus modeled a behavior or others did and gave the glory to God.

The worship is energetic and uses contemporary songs. The worship team looks like they enjoy praising God. It is a loud, concert environment, so you may want concert ear plugs, but if your heart doesn’t get prepared to praise God by this level of energy, I don’t know what will.

I love Pathways they are always welcoming and everyone is nice and great sermons. I've been going for about 11 years now and I love that I can watch the sermon online if I can't go that week or want to rematch it.
