I was trying to go through this Company and I did my online homebuyers classes through Freddie Mac, my credit was pulled and it’s like my work and my time was all in vein! I can’t get a call through for the coach I was working with nor a return call from her. I recently called the office and left a message for the Manager to return my call and still nothing. I’ve made several attempts reaching out to their office still with no results. I could see if I wasn’t a serious customer, but that’s not even the case.. I feel it’s very unprofessional to handle customers in this type of a manner.

I highly recommend Acts Housing to anyone wanting to buy a home for the first time and needs first time homebuyer information. Shelby was my housing coach and she is amazing! I wouldn’t have been able to purchase a house without the help and support that I received from Acts Housing. The program took approximately 1 year and it’s a once a month zoom meetings for 1 hour. The classes provided valuable lessons for what is needed in the process of home ownership to families that would otherwise not qualify. This is truly a wonderful resource for families who are willing to sacrifice their time to make their dream of owning a home possible.

I am very thankful with Act housing for all their support and encouragement. I am blessed to have met them and worked with them especially with Shelby. We are very blessed to have our own home. Once again thank you for your patience and your support and the classes bc I learned a lot. Thank You Lord for each person involved in helping us get our home and bless each one of them for their dedication in helping families.

I've been in this process for about two years. I've had about 3 homebuyer coaches. My current one I've been disappointed. No callbacks and or return emails. I'm empathetic to being overwhelmed with workload, but I deserve a return in the communication process. I even had to visit the office to get a return email. I'm still in the same space as I was two years ago when I started. Hopefully I get off the bottom of the ladder.

Very hard to reach support for contractors. Voicemails are left full so you can’t reach anyone. My partner has been calling for several days only to get full voicemails.

I started my journey with Acts Housing in August of 2023. I submitted all of my documentation to get approval from their lenders! Shelby V was great at communicating. However, once I completed the coaching process my information was passed onto Johanna. Johanna is unprofessional, lacks communication skills, and seems to work with who she considered a priority. The offices in Beloit are unresponsive to your request and have no idea what’s going on when you call and request help with something. I last spoke with Acts housing in Jan of 2024 after not hearing from anyone since November of 2023. I was promised communication from Johanna but never received a call back. I would just recommend anyone who is looking at this program to read the reviews as more than one person has had the same experience as myself.

Would NOT recommend for your home buying experience. Being a first time homebuyer and being anxious to initiate this process, my entire experience was horrible. They do not return calls, they schedule meetings that accommodate them and not your work schedule. The lack of communication and professionalism is unreal. I had a meeting rescheduled 4 times, which later they mentioned I can’t reschedule more than 3 times I won’t be considered. How can’t I be considered when y’all are the ones rescheduling. I work for a government agency, tried supporting this business, but it’s clear they just don’t know what they’re doing. I spoke with Kayla, Joanna & another lady … moral of the story, use a larger entity. I will continue to spread how horrible my experience was.
