This experience has fulfilled my hope in community support for LGBTQ+ identifying people. Not only did we receive a new wardrobe but also a safe space. Immediately upon entering the building I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly aura.

Cincinnati has not had a Brick & Mortar LGBT+ community center for well over 10 years, and probably longer than 15 years, since the community center in Northside closed down and became a virtual/online resource. Transform Cincy has begun recreating that physical safe space for the LGBTQ+ community that Cincinnati has been lacking since. As of 2024, they have relocated to Silverton. I will update this with their current address with their permission.

When my son came out about 5 to 6 years ago, I came across Transform, offering a free wardrobe for those who wanted to change their style. We scheduled his appointment and showed up feeling so welcomed. They had a sign with his name outside the door, welcoming him into the facility. It was a truly amazing experience for my son’s transition. I am so grateful that places like this exist and I am so thankful to the people that help keep them going too. And over the years, it has grown into so much more with outreach and programs for families. They are truly what community is all about. Especially for our Trans and LGBTQ youth.

Very welcoming, with activities every Friday for LGBTQIA youth. We haven't needed to use the clothing closet, but it seems to be such a wonderful blessing for trans and gender non conforming youth.
