I applied in December for Medicaid because I had heard my kids and I might qualify income -wise. The caseworker explained to me that for medicaid only, they could use the adjusted gross income. Now, here we are in March. Identical income. I talked with a representative named Kinsey(spell?) who was absolutely not helpful. I had to keep asking questions to try to get any information. She kept arguing with me that I got over a $1,000 raise and don't qualify anymore. I submit my exact pay stubs. Then, Kinsey told me that the other caseworker was wrong and I never should have qualified. Now, I have no insurance and had no idea.

I work two jobs to care for my kids and I was relieved to get a little help that was short lived. Frustrating experience!

Some people in the office are very helpful however the vast majority are not. I have been trying to reach them for a while now and I have yet to get a person on the phone. I'm trying to get documents submitted and i can't find anywhere on the website that has the email i need that would allow me to do that. overall if your able to go in person i would highly recommend doing that because at least they can ignore you for very long that way.

About useless all the way around. They don't answer the phones, if they do they hang up on you. Can't get a hold of Medicaid ever. And if you have Medicaid your screwed because you don't get a card and you need those for the doctors appointments.

Has to be the rudest staff I have ever dealt with. These women act like they are better than everyone and refuse to answer questions or help.

I moved to Clermont County only due to getting a divorce. It’s been 2 years and still going though the divorce process. I have yet to receive any type of child support for his 2 children. I have worked up until I had my I was about to have my son. He is 8 months old. I am a single mother of 4 and was receiving benefits for my oldest up until a month ago when she turned 18 and moved out. I am also a full time college student. I applied for cash assistance just until my child support finally kicked in. First I was scheduled to receive a phone call and never received it within the set time. I call and informed them of that and was told oh I am sorry I see you updated your contact information but who ever put it in the system put it in wrong. You will get a call back tomorrow since the error was our end. I received the call the next day and two seconds after I answered she proceeded to hang up on me. I call back immediately and informed them that I answered right away but she hung up on me. They said they would send her a message to call me right back. When she did call back you could tell right away that she was pissed off that I informed them that she hung up on me. She asked me about my situation and why I was needing to file for cash assistance. I said that I was a single mom and not currently working at this time. She responded very rudely “ If you are not working how have you and your children managed to survive.” as if I was lying about my situation. It is clearly shown in there system that I was working and then after that I was still receiving benefits from my oldest. That allowed me to barely make my bill payments every month. She goes through all the normal explanation of the requirements and then proceeds to tell me she needs copies of all of my children’s birth certificates. Remind you I have been receiving assistance for 2 years now. I informed her that all there copies were already in the system from when I first applied and started receiving benefits. She said well that’s a different department and I don’t have access to those 🤔 Not the first time I have applied for cash assistance so I know that to be false. She then proceeded to ask me about my youngest son father who doesn’t reside in the United States. This was once again noted in my account from the previous caseworker handling my case when I reported my pregnancy. Explained to her that he is not a resident of the United States and Comes over here a few times a year to visit family and now his son and I. Yesterday morning I get a knock on my door from a man that says he is a private investigator for job and family. He also brought a police officer with him. Never in my life have I heard of a private investigator being required to bring the police with them to simply ask someone questions. I 5’1 and 130lbs I would not really consider myself a threat. He is asking me questions in regards to my child’s father and I answer all his questions and then proceed to let him know I will be more than happy to answer any other questions he has at a more convenient time because I was just released from the hospital because I was showing signs of sepsis and my 3 small children are still sleeping. He began to get more hostile with me and says well you know what I’m just putting down that he is living with you. I responded back right away that he can’t do the it’s illegal and he said well I am. He asked me if I knew how job and family worked and my response was no but I am a legal studies student and I know how the law works. He said nothing else to me and just walked away. I then proceeded to call job and family right away to file a complaint. I received a call back from someone in the unemployment department and she was just as confused as I was as to why they sent me to her. She asked me the situation I needed help with anyway and after explaining what had just took place at my front door she said good for you! She gave me everyone I needed to contact so hopefully something will finally get done.

very unknowledgeable with available/offered services. went in person to cancel my medicaid because i prefer doing things in person instead of playing phone tag. i probably bounced back and forth to atleast 10 different people, departments etc. and i am getting nowhere. the lady at the desk told me that their office does not do terminations. that i needed to contact the office of medicaid even though they told me that the only people that can process terminations are the clermont county job and family services. im getting extremely frustrated in this. then i call, accepting the fact that i may be on hold for a long time because it is currently a monday, to have their voicemail tell me that they are on lunch break. without indicating the time they usually return to their desk/offices. they explain that it depends on when the person decides or the time they happen to come back. this is rediculous because there should be an indication as to an estimated time they return. i am also frustrated in this phone tag none-sense. its either the women i spoke to did not want to be bothered with the paperwork or she genuinely was not aware that her department was in charge of terminations. i would like to think this is based on her laziness and not the department failing to educate and train their employees more thoroughly. but even then, lazy employees are not acceptable either. this whole situation is ridiculous. i understand that some people may think people with these types of services are leeching off the government or are "white trash" but if you are an employee working there with that mindset, you should not be working there. here is hoping that i contact the person i need to contact today but i dont know if i will or not. i have been let down so many times with so many people that im very doubtful.

This is the worst place I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They have been asking for paperwork that I have turned in multiple times. I just got off the phone with my son called caseworker. She was rude, and continuously speaking over me to tell me nobody has emailed her to tell her i have called, or I have uploaded my paperwork. I am now a month into waiting for my food stamps.im hungry, I'm angry, and I'm tired of the bureaucratic nonsense that is Claremont county.

I tried almost a week getting a hold of anyone. I was on hold waiting for someone to answer and it told me to press 3 to leave a message. It didn't even work. I pressed 3 multiple times. I shouldn't have to go all the way to the office just for simple questions. I really wish Clermont would get it together. You have a one star rating and people complaining and refuse to do anything to change it. Government is supposed to work for its people. This is unprofessional and trashy.
