Spent 5 days in ICU here and had the best and kindest nursing staff. I have been in the hospital 4 times over the last year and this was by far the best I have ever had. You could feel that they cared and wanted to make you better, physically and mentally.

I had to leave at least 1 star to do review. My sister arrived here via ambulance who is a cardiac patient with chest pains. within 20 min they put her in er waiting room where it's 5 hours later which is full. I've seen 1 person go into treatment area. Her chest pains are getting worse but er attendant listens to me and that's as far as it goes. They are either understaffed or mismanaged. We came by ambulance so I only have so much time before cabs to get home will not be available. I wouldn't recommend coming here. Hopefully someone in hospital administration will read these which we will never know.

Wouldn't even give this review 1 star if I could would give it 0 stars. The front desk was lost and unorganized on things. I was not checked in properly. The staff and nurses there are not friendly and rude. Don't work in a place where you can't be friendly to friendly and nice to patients. Arrived at hospital at 6:30 am due to a toothache. Nurse did my work up my BP was 271/147. Nurse left cuff on my arm and told me they would recheck once I got in the back. Was told to wait in waiting area because of shift change. Didn't get pull to back until 9:30 am. Nurse sat me in the hallway they didn't put me in a room. Nurse never rechecked my BP knowing I had cuff on my arm. A Dr. came out ask what I was here for I told her what I was there for. She checked me out and prescribed me meds and sent me on my way. I was never suppose to leave the hospital with my BP at 271/147. I was never given meds to lower my BP before they released me. Worst experience I ever had. I will never go back to this hospital and definitely would never recommend. Also the hospital was not well kept and had clutter. Bathrooms were nasty. They need to close this hospital and revamp this hospital with new staff and administration.

I came back to change my review to 5 stars. All of the staff (everyone) was courteous, helpful and professional. My husband was actually content there and even enjoyed the food! He is usually restless and on edge but when I saw he was content I knew he was in good hands which was a huge relief for me after reading the reviews.

The only way I know how to describe this hospital is they are like family. I have had several stays there and I was taken such good care of. The doctors and nurses are so compassionate and caring. I would recommend them to anyone. They are absolutely the best

***STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL!!!!!***
1 Star, ONLY Because I CAN'T Put Zero. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS!!!
I Was Taken By Ambulance From My House, And They Just Put Me Right Into The Waiting Room FULL Of Other Sick People. The Waiting Room Was SO PACKED ALL DAY. I Didn't Get Seen For 7 HOURS, ONLY To Be Seen By a PA, NOT ANY ACTUAL DOCTOR, And Was REFUSED MEDICAL CARE BY "PA FOSTER". I Can't Speak For Anyone Else, But My OWN Experience. The Waiting Room And Even HALLWAYS, Were FILLED With People Vomitting Everywhere And Just Being COMPLETELY NEGLECTED. I Was Told There Was NOTHING They Could Do For Me. I Have High Blood Pressure, Which Was Elevated EACH Time They Checked It, My Potassium Was Low, I Cant Stop Shaking, And I'm Sick To My Stomach. I'm Afraid I've Been POISENED! And ALL They Could Say Was There's NOTHING THEY CAN DO? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HYPOCRATIC OATH THESE SO-CALLED "DOCTORS" AND NURSES HAVE TAKEN!!! IT DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE!!! I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN. AND NEITHER WILL ANYONE IN MY COMMUNITY. I WOULD LITERALLY RATHER DIE OR TAKE MY CHANCE GOING ALL THE WAY TO NEW BERN! WE ALL FEEL THE SAME WAY!!! I Am COMPLETELY DISGUSTED AT The LACK OF Actual TREATMENT That's Going On Inside This Building. As I Laid In a Bed IN THE HALLWAY, I Listened To Nurse After Nurse, Come Out Of Their Patient's Rooms, As They COMPLAINED And Even Made JOKES About Their Patients. I CANNOT BELIEVE That This Is Going On, And IN FRONT OF OTHER PATIENTS!!! I Will NOT Be Quiet, Like They Assume Everyone Will Just Be. NOPE. THIS IS VERY WRONG!!! I Was Literally Prescribed a Medication Given To People Who Just Had Radiation Or Chemo Treatment!!!!! WHAT IS GOING ON?!!! I PLAN TO SUE THIS "PA FOSTER" AND THE ENTIRE ECU HEALTH HOSPITAL IN BEAUFORT COUNTY. They Have MIStreated The WRONG Person Today!!! I Am COMPLETELY DISGUSTED. My LIFE Is LITERALLY On The Line, And THIS IS How They Are Treating People? There Was ALMOST An Uprising, Right There In The Waiting Room While I Waited. People Were SICK Of Being MISTREATED!!! THIS Is The Beginning Of a LONG Road For My Family, As I Probably Will NOT Be Here Much Longer. I Have NEVER Witnessed Such An ATROCITY Of UNEDUCATED PEOPLE WHO HAVE OTHER PEOPLE'S LIVES IN THEIR HANDS!!! PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO COME!!! I WILL BE GOING TO THE NEWS STATIONS WITH ALL THIS EVIDENCE. DON'T RUSK YOUR LIFE PEOPLE!!!!!

Hands down the worst ER I have ever been in the people needing help are for got about. The nurses are rude and very uncaring for the people that are sick. If I had the choice between this place and death give me death. I sit with both eyes swollen all the way together and had COVID and was left in the waiting room for 6 hours and there’s was only three people in the waiting room. It should be illegal for a hospital to be run this badly The photos are of the waiting room and this is how it looked the whole night. No one was called back we was just told lies and forgot about.

I’ve been here twice since May. Always received the best of care. Yes there is a wait but when I went to Greenville ECU health in May they told me I could have a 14 hour wait in the lobby of course I left and yes it took about 4-6 hours but it was worth the wait. I went last Friday nite the care was excellent 6 hours but good care it included a ct scan + blood work. I had a kidney stone so painful but they did everything to make me comfortable, the lady that drew my blood her name was Teresa was so attentive even when I had to wait in the lobby she brought warm blankets and was so lovely 😊 The nurses were okay (meh) but Theresa went above & beyond to make sure me & my husband felt cared for. Definitely need more staff like her.
