Beautiful theater. It was completely renovated a few years ago and now looks gorgeous. Its facilities have arm chairs, bathrooms, a lobby, balconies, rugged floor, and a modern light and sound system. The Turnage is located in a little lovely town close to the river, where you can find restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops just across the street. It's a pretty hidden town in North Carolina. Have in mind that alcohol drinks are not allowed in the theater.

This place is perfect! We've seen The Embers' Christmas and The Drifters here. I would return in a heartbeat for a show! Little Washington is a gem in the hinterland and I would recommend the Turnage as a place anyone would enjoy.

I have been to many events at this historic theater. From plays to USA Dance monthly events. Very nice. I wish there was more parking on Main Street walking through the alley at night can be scary, but that's not on the Turnage Theate, that's the city and city council.

Nice classic theater, we come regularly for local productions and concerts. Always clean, orderly, and well kept. Sound is ok, sometimes too loud. Bring a jacket, temperature changes a lot inside, summer and winter. Wine and beer available. Volunteer staff is friendly, butt sometimes not knowledgeable. Parking is close and easy. Front door drop off for those with mobility issues. Great place to catch a show! Almost 5 stars.

Don't consider this venue for your wedding reception or anything you hold important! We finalized the date, toured the site, signed the contract, and shared payment details. However, just two weeks later, the Marketing Director, Bronte, emailed my fiancé (not even me) to inform us they couldn't proceed. We trusted their written word for a small, quiet daytime reception, only to be let down, likely due to political motives or gain. It's truly shameful.

Theatre is beautiful, employees are nice. But the show tonight sucked! "The Bonifides". Supposed to be a Fleetwood Mac tribute. Wasted lots of time talking about the members of the group. Singers were so so. I left after 1,/2 hour. (Letting people in after the show starts is very annoying!)
