My girls and myself have all experienced the joys of Girls on the Run - this program is learning how to prepare for a 5K, but it’s also so much more than that. There’s an entire curriculum that nurtures self-worth, empowerment, relationships, teamwork, and being true to who you are and shining bright in that reality. It has changed our lives for the better, no doubt. 💖

One of the most rewarding volunteering experiences I've had was volunteering to coach a Girls on the Run of Union County team. It was so much fun that I coached for 6 seasons and then joined their board to support this awesome organization's future in Union County! I didn't have running experience nor had I ever coached a sports team - GOTRUC gave me all the training and materials that I needed! This program is not just a running program - it includes empowering lessons at each practice. I wish I had a program like this when I was in grade school! They have 2 programs in Union County: 3-5 graders have Girls on the Run and 6-8 graders have Heart and Sole.

This program is an excellent experience for all girls! It has developed a sense of confidence, support & coping skills in my daughter. This is her second year and I am so proud to have been introduced to GOTR in Union County! All the volunteers and support staff are genuine, caring & compassionate...all while getting some exercise in! 🙂 Thank you GOTR Union County! Keep up the great work.

After being involved for 23 seasons as a coach, I can honestly say that I love this program and what it means to young girls! Young ladies in Union County are learning how to choose friends, take care of their bodies, do things for their community, and take pride in being part of GOTR. There is no better club for girls than Girls on the Run Union County!

My daughter has loved being part of Girls on the Run for 2 1/2 years now. The volunteer coaches and GOTR Union Co team are always so encouraging and foster an environment of care and support. GOTR has been a great experience. I would certainly recommend it.
