Thought about making this one star but it's definitely a 5 star review, read on.

I was actually very impressed with the staff and the facility... I walked in to obtain a Title 36 on an friend/ex/roommate who has been suicidal, has evidence of self harm (scars from cutting) and has a benzo and opioid addiction.

I was seen immediately, front desk was awesome, Angela was awesome, Brian was awesome. Obtained the Title 36, went home, waited for friend to get home, called police, Flagstaff police officer was awesome. My friend was cooperative, went in.

He has incredible insurance from a high net worth family policy that previously approved up to $65K for rehabilitation - rehab that he refused to go to... rehab that was like a 5 star resort for the ultra rich that made me want to make up an addiction just for the experience.

Sad part was that my friend has been through this before and knows exactly how to manipulate the staff. He was released in 5 minutes. If intake was wiser they would have seen the scars, read right through his lies, and noticed his vitals, and his tests would have been positive. A few hours later they would have seen the start of withdrawals. Perhaps he would have been released with a fresh start... even knowing how slim success rates are and how high recitivism is when someone doesn't want help.

He is on his own now, no longer living in my home. I'll still have compassion for him, but I did what I could for so long and this was my last attempt. Perhaps this experience will be the catalyst to turn his life around, or perhaps this facility missed out on a great opportunity to truly help someone in need while also bringing in great income to help others and to help continue paying their staff's wages. But in reality, he'll likely OD, seize out, or suicide because he can talk his way out of anything.

So while they did what they could, my suggestion is to see through this type of person. Perhaps examine someone's arms and look for scars, take a few tests, observe for just a few hours. Consider that we who take the time to file for such serious things such as a Title 36 don't do this lightly. It was one of the most difficult things I've done in life, and only did after consulting multiple friends, some who work in crisis, and it felt like it was all for nothing.

Que sera sera.

I was treated with respect, had a good time with clients and staff, enjoyed the camaraderie, learned alot about how to deal with the developmentally disabled and got paid an above-average wage to boot. Management in my particular area was great for the most part and really tried to resolve any difficulties/complaints. There have been a few glitches in communication every once in a while, but I'm a firm believer in voicing the problem to the appropriate party with a possible solution in the right way. I don't recall having too many problems at all. Hozhoni, you rock!
