I love shopping local but find it difficult to compare prices at a farmer’s market. The Food Hub changes that! The website is easy to navigate, and makes it possible to compare prices of similar items. So thankful for you guys! You make it so easy to shop local!

According to rhe Census Bureau the median age in Boone and surrounding areas is between 22 and 33. Most likely, none of these folks has seen or heard of a Sears store let alone seen a Sears catalog. Growing up in the 50's and 60's in a lower middle class family with seven kids, I suspect that a lot of what we wore came from a Sears catalog. You could get just about anything from Sears--you could even order a house! That's kind of how the Food Hub operates. You can get all kinds of stuff in Boone, but for the "get anything" experience I recommend the weekend Farmer's Market or the weekly Food Hub offerings. Both are sponsored by Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture and it is 100% locally sourced.
They don't offer houses--at least not yet, but there's bound to be something that appeals to you. So check it out!
