Front office staff sat there refusing to help, sat there and said no one helped me at that office, denied they had an older attorney working there that was a make then later stated they do. She was rude and clearly didn't want to service anyone. Whoever manages this office needs to train staff in having a tiny bit of compassion for domestic violence clients.

I was told over the phone that they can't help me unless there is any broken bones or physical marks and then tried to get more details on WHAT lega aid helps with and the woman hug up in my face. My daughter is being abused and goes to her school telling her teachers that her mom and siblings hit her.

I contacted this office for the past 2 months trying to acquire an attorney to help me with my 50c domestic violence case. I finally received a call back one week before my court date. No one appears to take on 50c. Which is a complete random stranger unknown to you stalking harassing and attacking you. I don't know what this person is capable of and I'm living in a constant state of fear. They can only give you advice over the phone as they try to tell you to represent yourself. I did not go to law school due to my disability and the inability for me to even present a case. My disease would cause me to go into shock from the stress. Whenever I finally got a call back they advised me to represent myself whenever I have no clue how to even present information in a correct manner to the extent the judge will not dismiss for not knowing legal lingo like they already do everyday in the Cumberland county Court. Don't waste your time here. If you're not one of the judges or Court officials can you're not getting no help. Best of luck 🍀 seeing how our justice system handles things it's very clear why crime rates are so high in Fayetteville NC

I was granted an attorney for my domestic violence protective order case. They responded quickly to my phone call and I spoke with someone the next day. I was appointed Kaitlyn Parker and she was amazing! So nice and she kept me informed throughout the whole process.

The Legal Aid Group of Fayetteville has been a Blessing to My Family and Myself fighting hard for our case. I would especially like to thank Mrs. Kaitlyn Parker she is our Angel sent from Heaven, she has been very supportive and understanding there are never enough words to express our gratitude to her and the Legal Aid Group of Fayetteville.

I'm going to try to be very nice as possible on this review stay positive Deborah! The positive side and the only positive side I have about legal aid is it is some free advice that's it!

The lawyer I have this time that's representing my case his name is Samuel Jones he seems very uninterested in winning the case it doesn't matter how much I have proof of my situation he seems to me that he works for the plaintiff instead of the defendant... In my case Matlock would be a better lawyer!

Did not get any help. The Attorney did nothing for us. She never even came to the home (as she said she would do) to see the problems. They say thy help the poor, yet when I kept telling her we had to wait to get money to make it to a Library to send pictures to her (due to her saying none of my email attachments opened up, sent via my cell phone), she persisted we made her job "difficult"! She never did anything, so how was a " job" difficult for her. Then she dropped the case saying we asked her to after she called us & accused us if being in the wrong (harassing rental company by asking them to have severe issues fixed properly) & the rental company being able to harass us and never fix the issues! Now in process after being tested by Doctors and placed on many breathing medicines, due to condition of house, hiring a Attorney to help with case. They did not help us and this would mean they do not always help the poor, especially when it comes to Rental Management cases. There is so much more details to this story and documented misbehavior, but I would never be able to type in two years of issues and problems and how month after month, the attorney did NOTHING to help. We still never got a closing letter from the Attorney, yet she refused to accept pictures or any emails when they were sent and called us and said she closed the case. We were in shock. Especially due to both of us suffering major health issues and my granddaughter and grandson staying away due to their & our home falling apart around them, mold & mildew growth and paint peeling off walls (possibly lead base). Ceiling is caving in to the wall. As a very low income family, our rights were violated by both the legal system and by Rental Company. To be continued...

As helpful as possible. Very nice woman at the desk. To see if you qualify you have to call the 800 number, they don't do applications in office. The over the phone hpld time is about 20 min and the application takes an additional 15-20 min.
