I had high hopes for this store (although I'm not sure why, as every ReStore I've ever visited has been a huge disappointment). I was encouraged by the "All Books 50 cents" sign on the door. But those hopes were quickly dashed as I walked through the store. While some items were priced fairly appropriately, such as an ornament for $1 or a can coozie for 50 cents, other prices were downright confusing. A new Lodge cast iron skillet for $45, which is more than they are in a retail store. A drinking glass for $6. Plates for $2.50 each. I was also curious how a set of sheets was marked at $4, but when I got to the register to ask the price of a single case (while holding another which was 50 cents), I was told the unmarked case was $2.50. When I found the books, I was frustrated to see they were double and triple stacked on shelves, and then there were multiple items in front of the shelves, making it impossible to find anything. The staff, while not unfriendly, were not outgoing at all and definitely not trained well. I noticed while browsing some folks checking out were told cheaper prices than what was marked, but that didn't happen for me. Maybe I'm not a regular and don't get the deals. Finally, upon checking out with the few items I had, and deciding against the $2 50 pillowcase, my three 50 cent items were totaled to over $6. I asked the cashier to check and she discovered an error of ringing the marked case wrong and not removing the 2nd case. I don't think she was happy with me pointing it out. All in all, this was not a stellar experience. While the store is laid out well in some places and they're trying to keep it clean, I think, the lack of continuity in pricing and the high prices on items will keep me away. If they can train their staff in better prices and customer service, I'll give it another shot. But it won't be for a good long while. I would not recommend a visit except at your own risk

Had a great selection of donated goods. Everything looks to be in great shape. The only issue is their hours making it almost impossible to visit them!

My husband tried to drop off two end tables and an antique rocker today Oct 9. The guy told my husband it was not open and refused the furniture. My husband used to work at the Restore at the smaller building bordering the railroad track. The guy was rude today and two other customers. This was at the location in Lincolnton. You may want to have a conversation to your employees about how they treat the donors. You never know who they are offending. We took the items to Goodwill pand they gladly accepted.

Asked about a refrigerator on 9/19/2023 was told a price.I told the him I would take it.He said they had to hold it for 24 hours.I said that was ok because l was going to winston-salem to have my scan done for cancer,it would be thurday before l could pick it up but I want to pay for it today.Then Lisa told me know I could not buy it and then went up on the price telling me it would be 800 to 1000 dollars.I went back on 9/21 they had put sold on the 19th.This is wrong for the way they do people because this was giving to the Habital store for free to help people who need help.Lisa is not very friendly very rude.

Went looking for Christmas ornaments and found exactly what I wanted.
The new store is small and mainly antiques. Vintage, and decor now, but there are still some great finds.
