DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR HELP, THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU PAY ANY BILL IF YOU "MAKE TO MUCH". This place is awful, and honestly needs to be shut down because they will not help you if they considered you too much pay.

Worse help center EVER!!! I am hoping someone shuts them down sooner or later.

For this establishment to be considered a “ministry” or a “Christian” place is laughable. A family member of mine went in this morning to get assistance with their power bill as times have been hard for a lot of Americans lately. She is a single mother and barely gets any assistance and has NEVER gotten any assistance from a ministry before, let alone this one. She was met by Shasta Canipe and said she was treated very poorly upon introduction. She said she was met with harsh looks, disrespectful tone and insensitive behavior. They asked for a bunch of sensitive information and then once my family member asked if she needed to come back in or wait for a call… Shasta just replied with “I don’t know, you can do whatever.” And looked annoyed. So, a few hours later, she was contacted and went back in and was again met by Shasta and was belittled, disrespected, spoken down to and more. Shasta implemented her own personal comments and opinions into the situation at hand and kept going over the finances of my family member and stated “I don’t know why you are needing help. You make x amount a month. I went over your bank statement and some of these charges seem foolish to me.” And then she asked about a specific charge on their account to which she was told it was in regards to financing at a store to buy her children Christmas gifts since she was unstable to do so normally. She was then told “you shouldn’t have done that.” She then finally told my family member an option of what she could do (instead of just leading with that in the first place). It is shocking to me how this is even allowed. I would think a place of business like this would not be allowed to personally state their own opinions and feelings about a case or treat someone like this. Judging by the other recent reviews, it’s a very common issue at this place. I couldn’t help but notice that there is no person of color on their staff and hardly any person of color attends there for any assistance. I do feel like there was a bit of racism spewed today with Shasta and my family member and she should be ashamed of herself for how she treated her. She made her cry afterwards. With a name like the cheap soda drink, you’d think she’d have some manners and some couth about herself. I understand they cannot just give money and assistance to everyone but it does not cost a single dime to be nice and kind.

Yes I understood there's no state help at this time but my husband lost his job he'd had for several years and he's severely diabetic he has type one and two diabetes and has to have an insulin pump they're so bad and I have a bad brain tumor and can't work well we've had no income for 2 months right now and I have I 62 year old in my home well my husband's insulin has to be kept cold well I reached out to Ashure for help with my power bill and I was told because we have no income at the moment we wouldn't qualify for any help I thought that's why they we're here to help people with a crisis like this my husband is trying to get his unemployment and trying to get a job but it's going slow I have gotten us EBT started and Medicaid but right now we can't even afford the $4 for his Medicaid copay for his med so power is impossible to pay so now we have no power we're borrowing ice from the neighbors to keep his insulin cold so tell me what people do get the help it's not like we just won't work I'm sick and my husband is looking everyday and filing for his unemployment we're trying out hardest

When expenses eat you alive and you try your best for weeks getting help but yet to be told just because you make too much they can’t help and won’t pay a dime and remember don’t do yard work for someone and get paid for it just to be told the money you paid towards the bill counted as you not paying a dime.

It's a helpful place to go. BUT it takes too long to get anything done. I took my friend there and we were there almost all day. We had to leave cause her oxygen was running out. There was 3 people ahead of her but if we had stay she would have ran out for sure. Just taking her out to do things like this wears her out to the point she is in bed for days on end. There should be a better way to get people approved to get food assistance
