My husband and I stay here every time we come to the mountains. The owners have always been very hospitable from the first time we stayed. It might be every couple of years before we visit each time, but to wake up and drink coffee and watch the sunrise over the mountains is very beautiful and dear to us. That is why we spent our 10-year wedding anniversary here.

Clean rooms friendly but you can hear the cars go by you can hear all your neighbors they're very loud the motel is old but clean.

Great small, family run motel on Soco Rd. in Maggie. You will be treated like old friends and family here and if you need anything it's only a request away. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Small pool is clean, cool and beyond refreshing. Grills available (bring charcoal). Motorcycle friendly but spots for cars / trailers as well so don't worry about parking as there is plenty. Again, can't say enough about the hospitality here. Highly recommended!!

This was my husband’s and my second year staying at the Clarketon motel. All I can say is this is the only place we want to stay now. The owners, Tammy and Phillip instantly make you feel like you are family staying there. They are some of the nicest people I have ever met. When it’s time to checkout, I hate to leave them as much as I hate to leave the mountains. The rooms are spotless and if there is anything you need, they get it immediately. We got to the motel around 10:00 AM Thursday morning. They could have made us wait until check in time at 2:00 but Tammy knew we had been driving for 6 hours and made sure our room was ready for us so we could immediately go in and freshen up. Phillip even helped Archie load up and put air in our tires before leaving. Only wish we lived closer to them. Would love to spend more time with them. Until next year, see you then. Love you both. It was a cute, cozy little motel. No pass keys.... Real door knobs w/ real keys☺️ Rocking chairs on the porch with a table and smoke bucket if you needed it. Clean small pool and plenty of awesome views to look at. Rooms were very clean and homey. Staff was great and accommodating. Definitely a favorite memory for me!

My teenage son and I make a yearly few day trip to Maggie Valley and we both love it here. It is small and a bit dated but if you're looking for cozy, animal and family friendly and close to about everything....this place is a gem. I have a large service dog and they're extremely accommodating. The rooms are plenty big enough for any that we've stayed in. AC & Heat have worked fine. Fridge & microwave is quite sufficient. Rooms have always been clean. Parking is easy in/out. Any time we've been there, it's been busy but not at all disruptive. If you're looking for a resort, go to a resort....this place is down home family friendly. Will be booking again very soon.

This place looks alittle deceiving at first but was amazing! Owners treated us like family. We had bonfires, got help with our bikes if something happened. Never had this kind of hospitality at any place I have ever stayed. Charming mom and pop hotel. Great location and price. Would definitely recommend people to stay here.
