2024-Had a spectacular experience at Black Mountain. The welcoming gestures and expressions were just what we needed to feel in our hearts ❤️🥰 The professionalism of each member of the team was enlivening, filled with love 💝💝💝 Thank You for setting the example.
07 March 2025- visited the site in south Asheville in the Shiloh Community. The Parking Director is competent, very important as the lot is tiny. The sample ratatouille was delicious. The bounty was plentiful at 11:40am. Very satisfied.

This is an amazing concept and amazing opportunity to help those in need, but unfortunately there needs to be more crowd control. The amount of hostility and tension you feel going to a market is not good. People will shove in front of you, reach their arms out to stop you from grabbing something. Don't say excuse me and it feels like a weird competition. I also do truly believe there needs to be a limit of quantity per person. I know they try to control this by asking how many are in the household and mention it beforehand, but people grabbing full buckets of items is a little insensitive to others who cannot come to the markets until a later time. Maybe come up with a better system? I don't really have the answers because people will take what they want when it's offered. Regardless, I am really thankful for this program. I am a type 1 diabetic and struggle with affording healthy, balanced meals. I am lucky I found this program and appreciate all the work they do at tackling food injustice. Hope they branch out to more lower income communities at some point!

This has been an amazing service! I've gotten great food, natural, organic, healthy. It's sometimes more than I can use. I love that I get flowers, local food items, and herbs!! I'm in cancer treatment and can't work so this helps immensely and brightens my day. Thank you B&S! 💜

What an incredible organization. They not only offer good healthy food, mostly veggies and fruit, but they teach you each week about something to improve your health. And as if that wasn’t enough there is always a cooking demonstration and sharing recipes and tasting the wonderful dish that was just cooked. Wonderful caring people. It’s been a joy to volunteer. Every community should have a Bounty & Soul. It really helps the budget especially as a senior on a fixed income. Thank you for all you do.

Bounty and Soul is amazing! Everyone is so warm, friendly, and treats every single person with respect. You will receive fresh, healthy foods, recipes, and “love notes” no questions asked. Their mission of food justice is so important and their advocacy and outreach really makes a difference in the community.

Bounty & Soul is an excellent organization which has helped feed my loved ones and I with such love, acceptance, and care. The system that they use during markets feels fare, and all are respected and welcome. Bounty & Soul hosted a group of us for an afternoon of volunteering, which involved sorting produce, transporting it to a local school for their mobile market, a nutrition lesson and cooking demonstration, and sharing of fresh food (with recipes!) with community members in need. It was a wonderful experience, and I'm very proud of Bounty & Soul for the powerful work they do in this community. Thank you, B&S!!!
