I would like to thank the staff at Gordon Hospice of Statesville NC, for the care that was given to my Mom while she was there. We as a family were able to be with mom around the clock spending precious time with her that meant so much to each of us. I was blown away by the care, love and concern of GHH. They are true professionals and create a wonderful loving environment for the passing of lovedones. I am very thankful for each of them. They truely made a very difficult experience much better. From the Social workers, Chaplians, Dr.s, Nurses and CNAs across the board they are kind, mission minded and dedicated health care workers. They minister to both the patient and their family in a very caring and compassionate manner.

My sweet brother Dale passed away a month and few weeks ago. Losing Dale has been a struggle but being at the Hospice House I felt the love and compassion for Dale and my family. Thank you all for the ❤️

My brother Wayne was taken here from the hospital with only a few days left with us. It was chosen by the family because it was explained that we come from a large family 8 from my brothers family and 9 siblings. We were told they would accommodate us and allow more than their standard 4 people in the room. However, everyday anyone of us arrived we were told by the volunteers at the front, "there are already X amount of people back there" the volunteers were very rude and actually huffed and puffed on multiple occasions, like it was an inconvenience for them to get out of their chairs to take a temperature. My daughter finally asked one (sina brown) if there was a problem after she huffed and puffed and she clammed up and said no. It is ridiculous and unprofessional how they acted. They need to be re-educated on caring and compassion. Even one of the female doctors had the audacity to say we have to many people coming and going and keeping him to stimulated!!! REALLY!! After that they put a sign on the waiting room door that stated only 4 people were allowed in the waiting room!! These acts are astonishing. We are there to have them provide comfort and care to our loved ones in their final day, not needing to put up with uncaringa rude individuals. As a family we did everything for our brother while he was there including bathing him and trying to feed him and changing his bed linens. We never disturbed anyone else in the place.
I would like to say that all the nurses and cna's were great and caring and supportive during our short time there.

I can't say enough about this amazing organization, the staff, and the Gordon Hospice House facility . My dad spent his last days there in 2016. What a peaceful, joyous, and calming place for this to happen. I'm grateful beyond measure we got him there. We are so fortunate to have this in our town.
