I actually used to love coming here. They have nice things. Recently, things have changed. The pricing has gotten out of hand. Most items are used with visible wear and tear. There's no way it should be priced the same as a new item on sale. It's used!

Example: I looked at a shaker cabinet vanity today priced at $180 at Habitat. I looked online at Lowe's to see the price difference. At Lowe's, a vanity with same dimensions was priced at $149. I researched a bit more just to be fair, same style vanity, with same dimensions was listed at $189. Im not going to buy something used for the same as a new item.

I even saw 3 crumble up, clearly used aluminum disposable pans. They were priced at $3.55. They should've been FREE or trashed. Maybe .50 at best!!

I encourage you to price check prior to purchasing.

This place used to be fun to shop at.. their prices are insane! I asked the manager how they go about pricing things. They said they price things at 50% off the sale price. THE FREE DONATIONS THEY GET- they charge you 50% of the sale price. Doesn’t matter if it’s broken, missing parts, or has been used more than a handle at a gas pump. I found a brand new still in the box ceiling fan that they marked the SAME price at Home Depot up to the counter. I showed them the website and showed the prices matched to the sale price today. The lady behind the counter looked me in the eyes and said it’s marked 50% off. IM LOOKING AT THE SAME PRICE. if you wonder why they have the same furniture for 6 months to a year for sale it’s your jacked price expectations. I would not take your donations here as they use them to squeeze every dime out they can. I will happily drive 30 minutes to another location.

Overall, the store is kept up pretty well and the customer service is pretty good. The negative review is because of the prices! The furniture is priced higher than most retail furniture store. Charging between $100-$200 for a single nightstand or end table is diabolical at best. Considering they get these items for free, it is so unfair to customers who really need these items or furniture pieces.

Average store. Friendly staff a plus. However pricing is absolutely ridiculous. Priced as new in store like Lowe’s with a warranty. And all is As-is. Wow!

Prices are crazy. Decent selection because everything sits. Books are too expensive at their current rates. Not really worth going to anymore, prices appear to have jumped a lot in the last year or so. Beware Statesville and Davidson stores are owned by same entity and have similar pricing structure.

This is a large clean habitat for humanity store. They have everything for a thrift store. There is a good selection of CDs , DVDs , VHS and vinyl. There is also books books books. There is lots of electronics to choose from along with antennas. Large selection of furniture to choose from and home repair items like cabinets and sinks. I did notice they have washers and dryers and a huge selection of rugs, runners and carpets. We purchased some desk lights that were only .99 cents each
And I bought black ops for the Wii and black for PlayStation two.

Excellent community resource! My dryer went out and I found a good used pair there. I donated my working washer to them so someone else could benefit in the same way that I did.

Never had so much trouble trying to donate nice household items. Pickup staff are rude and uncooperative, no matter how nice you are to them. They all but throw nice furniture onto the truck, yet refuse certain items because they're too lazy to take them out. Salvation Army is much nicer and easier to use, fyi.
