superb master's rowing program for competitive adult rowing. co-ed team with age ranges from 23-80.

in-person, on the water practices Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and 2 on your own practices per week prepared by the highest qualified coaches. Local races and also travel races - every race is not required.

I was looking for a competitive team to improve after rowing on and off for many years with nationally-acclaimed coaches.

I found my new rowing home here and am very happy with the decision.

Learn to row program offered 2x a year summer and winter plus additional Sunday morning technique rows offered too for private and group lessons.

Several coaches on staff and volunteer opportunities, too, for those who are interested.

Highly recommended.

I started rowing here years ago. My high school aged daughter joined and rowed here as well. With this great crew she had two trips to nationals which drew the attention of recruiters from the top schools in the country. This was a great experience for her. I’m on the Masters crew, there are men and women of all ages enjoying a team sport, good friends and staying in great shape.

My daughter has rowed with Newport Sea Base for 3 years now and loves it. She has so much fun that I've joined the masters recreational team - I love that they offer levels for anyone from Learn to Row to competitive. The coaches are amazing and encourage all levels to be our best.

The best rowing club in Orange County! The camaraderie, coaches and respect here is welcoming and a really fun Boathouse to row, hang out and be taut amazing water sports. It’s not only for the younger kids the boathouse and club have a great learn to row program for older rowers weather you have rowed before or would still like to compete the club offers a competitive rowing team called Masters. Newport Seabase has been my club on the water for 3 years now. And I have made amazing friends here. Come check it out for yourselves! Happy rowing.

Great place to learn how to row & be a part of a GREAT team. My kids love rowing...the coaching staff is fantastic & take time to teach each child how to improve their technique. We also enjoyed the various summer programs through the Seabase where my kids did the learn to row & really discovered how much they enjoyed rowing..an amazing sport/workout. They also have middle school rowing which is a neat way to introduce kids to this marvelous sport...the coaches are so patient & wonderful 🙂

4th year at Newport Sea Base Rowing. I have two daughters that row here, after one quitting softball and the other dance to try rowing. No experience was needed as they started in 9th grade but there were kids who started even as seniors. I chose this club because the size is smaller and the coach-to-athlete ratio. My oldest is now a senior and was recruited to row in college. College coaches are always visiting the boathouse to recruit and the coaching staff helps the kids with their college recruiting goals.

My son has always been a competitive athlete and last summer tried rowing at the Learn to Row camp. As a freshman, he decided to switch sports to crew and hasn’t looked back! The coaching is phenomenal with a low coach to athlete ratio and the team is full of supportive, encouraging, hard-working young men. I’m looking forward to another great season with this team!
