Lake Hennessy Recreation Area is a great place to go hiking or mountain biking in the spring when the grass is green and the flowers are blooming. The views from the top of Cone Peak are great and the hillsides are covered in heavily mossed oak trees making for amazing scenery. Highly recommend doing the 7-8 mile loop around the area to see all the area offers.

I'm new to the area & Newby when it comes to hiking. This was a beautiful hike. It was a little rough for me due to the total distance, plus we missed our trail to complete the loop & had to go back to find it. I would recommend starting up on this trail with the more difficult part that way when you come down the rest is just easier.

Beautiful. Serene. Jumping fish. Lots of bird life. Catamaran sailing. Lots of hikers and a few MTN bikers. Single track and side bye side. Very nice.

Nice lake. There are parking fees to park in the main parking lot and to use the boat launch. I believe that there is a 10HP limit on boats. The fishing was okay the few times I've been to Lake Hennessey.

Peaceful, serene and beautiful. Caught a baby bass but it was nice just to get out and paddle around without powerboats or jet skis flying by every few minutes. Great place for peaceful kayaking.

We go here for our annual New Years Day walk. We’ve always been lucky with the weather and we’ve enjoyed seeing the positive changes in the park over the years. More trails, signage, and the connection to Moore Creek Park on the eastern side.
